i am posting this thread because i've seen some people ask "who are the freemasons?
back a few years ago, i had never heard of the masons before.. then, i had some masons involved in my life, so i did a lot of research into them (at the library, on the internet, in books, testimony by former masons, etc.)..
i will start a thread soon and post my beliefs and opinions on freemasonry.. here are a few things i have found in my research.. in a "well-ordered" masonic lodge, masons are allowed to believe in any god they want to, except jesus christ.. in fact, in a "well-ordered" masonic lodge, the name jesus christ should not even be mentioned.. that makes one wonder, doesn't it?.
If you have any questions or comments, please post them or E-Mail me.
Undisfellowshipped,
Thank you for the kind offer. And thank you for clarifying.
Robyn

In that Verse, it is Nebuchadnezzar, the King of Babylon who is called "Lucifer", however, most people believe it has a larger sense of fulfillment towards Satan the Devil (who was the true King of Babylon).
But Nebuchadnezzar still fulfilled God's plan. So, are you saying that God uses Lucifer to do his bidding? If so, does this make Lucifer evil or a servant of God?
I am not trying to be argumentative here. I truly do not understand what you are trying to say.
Thanks,
Robyn

Perhaps if more Freemasons would take a few moments to CLEARLY EXPLAIN what they believe and are taught and what they do, then there wouldn't be any so-called "misinformation" going around.
I do not mean to sound rude, but why would a Mason break his vow of silence to answer your questions or counter your claims?
when in the wt we seldom heard of anyone becoming "apostate", sure there was 1 or 2 in the usa somewhere (durrr) but very seldom would we call anyone who left "apostates", so why does it appear that everyone calls themselves apostate if they left for other reasons?
the mindset of most jws was that an "apostate" was someone who left the wts to join another religion in the world empire of false religion (btg), right?
not that it matters at all but just wondering.. .
It sounds cool ... "he's gone A-po"
Simon, that is hilarious.

In my 22 years as a JW, I never heard the term apostate. Occasionally "evil slave" was mentioned from the podium. I first became aware of the term apostate, when I joined this forum. I like it. Think I'm gonna keep it.
bikerchic (katie) and her son joey are halfway here to portland, or.
staying over in sacramento for the night.. god how anxious i am to have her here with me!!
tomorrow night, tomorrow night .

As husband and wife, may you share joy that grows deeper, friendship that grows closer, and a marriage that grows richer through the years.
Congratulations to you both.

a few days ago minimus posted a thread on flame wars at: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/forum/thread.aspx?id=39526&site=3 ... in it i commented about tina & julie, who posted here until about late february or early march, and acknowledged that i could and should have acted as a friend toward them rather than being like a lawyer ... being right or fighting over what seems right is not always as important as concern for people and what they are going through.
i failed them in this regard.
a couple of people shared my comments with them, and both tina and julie responded right away in email to me.
Amazing,
It is good to see that you have patched things up with Tina and Julie. Tina is a lovely person. I do not know Julie very well but feel as if I know her better after reading your post.
It seems to me that all 3 of you have class. Thanks for posting.
Love,
Robyn

in the uk there has been a big trial going on in which the former butler to diana princess of wales was charged with stealing some of her possessions after her death.
he has pleaded not guilty from the start.
this has been going on for close to 2 years, the case dramatically collapsed this morning when the queen finally decided to get off the royal butt and intervene saying that she knew he was holding some of diana's possessions.
We should sell them all to the Americans ... they'd buy 'em
Hey now!
Simon,
If we wanted them, we would be driving on the left side of the road. And we certainly wouldn't have had that "little misunderstanding" in 1776. No hard feelings though....
You keep the Royals.
Love,
Robyn
