  in the book, thy kingdom come 1898 is an entire chapter on the restoration of israel.

  There is evidence however that Russell influences Herzl and others to buy land in Israel in fulfillment of Bible prophecy. Russell had claimed that favor had returned to the Jews in 1878.

  Rutherford would carry this mantle until his 1925 fiasco, and took his anger out on the Jews when Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and the others did not returned to inaugurate the kingdom, so he kicked them out and spiritualized all prophecies from fleshly Israel to spiritual Israel.

  Interestingly in the early 1920s Rutherford and his entourage travelled to Israel and Eqypt, it was videotaped and was advertised in the Golden Age magazine. The video could be purchased from the Society. I know many hard core collectors who have tried to obtained these videos to no avail.

  Funny, how he dumped both Israel and the great pyramid teachings.

  Back to the Bible and Roy D. Goodrich

  i was fortunately enough recently to purchased volumes 2 and 3 of roy goodrich's journal "back to the bible way" which covers 1957 - 1966. the journal was published from 1952 to 1973 and eventually reprinted in four volumes.

  i had scattered issues.

  i'm still missing volumes 1 and 4 to complete the set, as i am scanning each issue to make available, any help would be appreciated.. .

  How do you cope with a zealous JW wife?

  i've been out for a little while now - fading was my chosen strategy.

  before then, elder for around 20 years - all the usual stuff.. why leave?

  (1) reading other material and thinking for yourself - never too late (2) couldn't stomach any more judicial committees where i had to preside over handing out edicts that were going to wreck peoples' lives (3) final realisation that i'm not going to let my children die because of the false 'blood' interpretation (4) nail in the coffin, which opened my eyes to the 'rotteness at the core' of the organisation, was the deliberate mis-quoting of scientists and others, to make a lie seem like truth.. anyway, my wife (both pioneered together) is as zealous as ever - more so now.
