  society doesn't care about how outsiders view them.

  they don't care about how the rank and file look at them.they don't give any credence to congregational elders or ministerial servants or pioneers.

  I too, don't think that the Organisation cares, after many, many years of coming up against lies in our last congregation, on one occasion, I wrote to the Society over very serious matters, I accused the elders of committing perjury (all could be verified) the District and Circuit overseers came to see us, but absolutely nothing came of it, as usual, the elders are still in the same position, then on top of all that, the UN scandal and paedophilia was the last straw ! This made us look into and study, more than ever before, USING OTHER INFORMATION not the WTBS. Even our letter sent at least three months ago, detailling all of this has been ignored.

  JW's deny jesus as being king before 1914

  i ventured to the local hall here last week and when time to discuss the watchtower a guy made a comment that the wt only believes that jesus became king in 1914.now i have read the bible and do have an interest in what it says despite my handle on this site and i have noticed that the apostles made clear that christ was king of heaven and earth in their day at least until the last apostle died .this just looks like typical crap that would only lead me to further arguement with them and in the end being demonized .anyone else with thoughts on the subject ?

  Carl Olaf Jonnson's book - Gentiles Times Revisited, gives us something to think about with regards to 1914 as being a pivotal date for prophecy.

  If 607bce and the calculation of 2520 days, is not correct, then Jesus reign may not have started in 1914.

  As has been said, by accepting 1914 as the start of the millenium rule of Christ, we are "eating" into this 1000 years. The further we go back the more problems this causes with the 1000 years. Russell's comment regarding Jesus taking up his kingship, went back even further,

  today's been a horrific day, weather-wise, in new south wales with very hot, gale force winds fanning the flames of bush fires all around sydney.

  the urban areas around the south-west and close to bethel, as well as the area near wollongong to the south have been affected, which means the fires are breaking out deep in the metropolitan area.

  Hello Mr & Mrs Ozzie,

  We were thinking of you when we saw the fires on our TV news tonight, it must be really bad for you all, we hope that you will be safe and are not too near the major fires.

  It's very upsetting to see all of the animals trying to escape the fires.

  We hope that 2 Peter 3:7 isn't going to be fulfilled down under !!

  Yes, we do still read the bible and as a family too.

  Since coming away from the Org. we have had to go back to "square one", not easy to eradicate so many years of brainwashing and false doctrines. We have recently purchased two new bibles -

  King James and Phillips, we also have the Douay version. We're now finding it interesting to look and compare the scriptures in these versions.

  where in the watch tower publications does it say that jw family members should not associate with a family member that has been disfellowshipped or disassociated.

  i will be going to court to get access to my daughter cassandra and joint custody.

  for the past several months, i have not been able to have any visits with her.

  Re:The Kingdom Ministry sheet that Simon has scanned for you, just to add a few points :-

  Paragraph 1 " first let us review what the bible says on this subject...." then they immediately tie disfellowshipping in with disassociation.

  We have never found this in the bible.

  Paragraph 2 "where they (the WT) imply that the tax collectors were to be treated as outcasts, likening them to disfellowshipped/disassociated ones.

  Mark 2:14 and Luke 18:11-14, shows Jesus and the bible's viewpoint on this subject.

  just as people have different personalities, i believe that individual congregations also had their own personality.. the hall i went to while growing up, was just awful.

  the po of the hall was known in the entire area, and was just a tyrant.

  there were no grey areas.

  Gates, Walls, and Keeping out the Pagans

  there is a pattern through history of empires building walls when they reached maximum expansion.

  consider the great wall of china, the wall the romans built to keep out the goths, the berlin wall to preserve an island of communisim in germany.

  walls save a lot of time and energy, as you don't have to have as many soldiers patrolling the line.

  We have got all of the info on the UN involvement.

  We have a copy of the 1 Nov 2001 letter from the WTBS, where they admit that they registered as an NGO in 1991.

  There is lots of information on this site, just go to the search area (towards top of page) and type in UN Watchtower, it will bring up all of the threads relating to the UN/WT involvement

  1. The organisation applied for association in 1991

  2. Granted association in 1992

  3. Requested termination in Oct 2001

  dear brothers:

  as you have admitted, the watch tower bible & tract society did join the united nations as a non government organization in 1992 ending in 2001, and according to the following watch tower this means that by their own actions they disassociated them selves from jehovahs organization which means that we must treat them like disfellowshiped ones.

  in other words they are no longer jehovahs witnesses or have any right to that name.
