We did the same three years ago on the same subject, but then took a whole year to find out much much more about the Organisation, but of course NOT USING ANY OF THEIR MATERIAL to research and verify.
We too feel that by their own actions they have disfellowshipped themselves.
But do they realise that those staying in the Organisation have in fact put Jehovah on the same side as the Scarlet coloured wild beast of Revelation. Surely this point in particular should affect their conscience more than any other personal feelings.

as many of you will know, yesterday i received my scan results from the haematologist.
when i entered his office he was beaming and so i thought the news would be good.
the chemotherapy has shrunk the cancerous lymph nodes in my stomach substantially!!

two of our friends (ex jws) came out of the org, about three years ago.
they went to an evangelical church, and have now settled in the salvation army.
the sa, does not have the bread and wine ceremony/service, and the wife, (her husband believes that they should partake of the bread and wine) has been prayerfully searching to see if they should really take of the bread and wine.
Sorry, I still use lots of JWs expressions ! Yes she means the Communion. I was surprised that the Salvation Army don't have communion, perhaps it is just something decided on by the Captain of that particular church, I personally thought that all "Churches of Christendom" (as the witnesses would call them) had communion.

according to the wt, the wine is passed around, once a year, to all those who have been "chosen".
they believe that this is a requirement, set out in the holy scriptures and is proof that they are of the anointed class.. has anyone any idea what happened during the time of prohibition in the us, when it was against the law of the land to purchase alcohol?
did they use a substitute?.

Firstly, we have to know what Holy Spirit is. Thirty years in the Org. has told me that it is God's Active Force, but now I am unsure. If we are to know if we are guilty of this serious offence we need to know what exactly the Holy Spirit is, so that we can make sure that we do notoffen "IT/Him".
Without the WT glasses on, the scriptures seem so different.
