I'm guessing that's for when the public WT's are stopped in favour of single sheet tracts.

Counting service time in a creative way
by nevaagain incouting time and, how to count time while doing as little service as possible is often a hot topic around witnesses.
i even overheard pioneers discussing about it.
they call it "creative time counting" (i translated that phrase from a different language so bear with me ;-).

The mental justifications are brilliant.
If you offer a magazine to someone who completely ignores you, or if you knock on a door of a house that is obviously unoccupied, your journey to outlying territory can be counted as 'time'.
If you just drive straight out to the territory without either of these little rituals, you cannot count your time.Even better, do one of these things before you even meet for field service, preferably near your own home. This way you can count even more time, just knocking off 10 minutes for the field service meeting.
You've probably got 45 minutes before you even reach your territory!
Do a 'call' when you're back in town and bingo! You're on target to meet the congregation average.

A random HISTORY of that old rugged cross used by JW's until 1931

an austrian radiologist, hermann moedder, experimented with medical students in the 40's, hanging them by their wrists with their hands directly above their heads (much like the watchtower pictures jesus on a stake).
in a few minutes, the students became pale, their lung capacity dropped from 5.2 to 1.5 liters, blood pressure decreased and the pulse rate increased.

Plans for huge Jehovah's HQ take shape
by insidetheKH inplans for a huge jehovahs witness commune on the outskirts of chelmsford are gathering pace.. the international bible students association, the charity which manages jehovahs witnesses printing and literature distribution, wants to create a new british headquarters.. the 82-acre site (about 15 football pitches) at temple farm site, off ship road, west hanningfield.. the plans include a printery - producing bible-based literature - admin and language translation of?ces, video and sound production studios, an auditorium, training centre and workshops all on site.. plus there will be one and two bedroom apartments - for up to 1,200 residents and visitors - along with onsite caterers, laundrettes and healthcare facilities.. the site would also have its own energy centre - making it self-sufficient - and a new access road would also be built from temple wood.. a resident from stock, 60, who didnt want to be named, said: its all a bit sci-fi if you ask me.
its a very unusual development, a commune really.
i wouldnt say i was against it as it is all a bit of a mess at that site at the moment.. the land, currently occupied by a car breakers yard, was removed from the green belt by chelmsford city council in 2008 and earmarked for employment use.. ibsa agreed to buy the land from its current owners in december, as long as they get planning permission for the project.

by Separation of Powers inmy mom called me yesterday to ask how i was doing.
i hadn't seen her in a while, so it was nice to hear her voice.
we went through the motions of jw small talk and then she started telling me about her co visit from last week.

Juan Viejo2: A series of Public talks and Watchtower Studies will be streamed over the Internet (protected by special logins so that apostates can't sneak in - or the public, for that matter).
The first of these will be on the weekend of April 25th/26th.
A letter has been sent to all BOE's stating equipment to use and when/how to test the stream prior to the actual transmission date. New roles have been defined of "Event Coordinator" and "Technical Contact", and a new jw.org mailbox "event broadcast" has been created to communicate on technical issues between Bethel and the Congregation. The instructions state that if your equipment is not up to spec, then buy new equipment.
The practice session is on Feb 2nd, and is password protected.

In Terry's book he uses a perfect comparison - it is a rain dance.
With a rain dance they keep doing the same thing until something happens, then it's "See! We told you!"
The WT rain dance has gone on for over a century and will continue to until "something happens", at which point the WT will say "See, we tried to tell you!".
The poor, unthinking JW's will lap it up.
