  Lot's of talk on the July Watchtower?

  so i've heard lots of talk from within about the 'new light' in this watchtower...i'm yet to look at it in any detail.

  i'm kind of surprised actually...i first heard about it here before it was even available but close to the time it did come out people started bringing it up - even our co.. some say things like "have you heard about this?

  " or "big changes," or "allot of things they said we believed, i didn't realize,"(lots of that) or "brain-overload" or " too much information, but i've never felt more pumped up" or "it's soo exciting to see jehovah's spirit lead his organization..." or "it requires time to sink in, but it's a good feeling!

  BroMac, don't sweat it, it's become too hard to keep on top of all the changes pouring out of Brooklyn these days.

  By the end of this year the dubs will all be believing different things anyway.

  In 1918, Jesus, “the messenger of the covenant,” had come to Jehovah’s spiritual temple to inspect and cleanse God’s congregation.

  NEW:

  w13 15/7 p.11 par. 6

  To settle that question, Jesus began to inspect the spiritual temple in 1914.

  Another new idea introduced is that Russell was the modern day John the Baptiser.

  Who has experienced a REAL demonic incident?

  has anybody here experienced a bonafide, real, true incident in whicy 'demons' actually interacted with you or did something 'supernatural' that left you convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that satan and his demons exist??.

  When younger I was out walking with a friend.

  I told him a story where the punchline was that I called out the name of Satan.

  The second I did that there was a terrifying presence we both felt, like I had awakened a demon and he had personally come to investigate.

  We both felt it, both looked at each other to say "what the hell is this?"

  It was more than just having our skin crawl, it was as if we were in the very presence of something evil.

  Every instinct was instantly full of fear. It's hard to describe the intensity of it.

  I haven't experienced anything quite like it before or since, but neither have I called out his name or told that story since either.

  Here is a summary of the changes.

  Faithful SlaveThe Faithful Slave is only the Governing Body, not all the Anointed, and only when acting as a composite group.
  
  Evil Slave
  The Evil Slave can only be one of the Governing Body, if they start mistreating the brothers.
  
  Domestics
  The domestics include both the anointed and the other sheep, not just the anointed. The appointment was in 1919.
  
  All the Belongings
  The appointment over "all the belongings" is when the Governing Body arrive in heaven, and after the start of the great tribulation. (See pp.8,22)

  Isn't there another one, that the inspection now occurred in 1914 as opposed to 1919?

  but just wondering if anyone knew if the brochure referred to in the infamous un letter of 2004 is available to read anywhere?

  this is the brochure of 1991 (before the supposed "changed language that we cannot subsribe to").

  The letter above from WT to the branch offices says:

  "Still, the Criteria for Association of NGO's - at least in their latest version - contains language that we cannot subscribe to."

  This does not say that the language changed, only that in the latest version they decided they could no longer subscribe to it. The latest version could have been in existence since prior to 1991, which is just what the UN themselves claim to be the case.

  It is worded in such a way as to make the reader think there was a change to the Terms of Association.

  i watched a terrible pirated copy in the 80's when it came out, so it was good to see it again.. mind you, i'd better not tell the elders i watched it:.

  the longer portion of his hair doesn't even blend with the hair closest to his roots.

  And what's happening underneath the main lady's bag - there's an odd darkness on the lamp post base?

  And why is the brother only wearing a cardigan when everyone else is dressed for a winters day with boots, gloves, hats and scarves?

  Yes, I think we can safely say it's staged/touched up, but does that detract from the message?
