  SUICIDE IN KH PARKING LOT

  last saturday, a former ministerial servant and pioneer committed suicide in the woodinville washington kingdom hall parking lot.

  he was disfellowshipped several years ago, and according to the old sister that related the story to me today, he was depressed because no one would talk to him.

  i don't know how i kept calm when she explained to me that "we couldn't talk to him...he was disfellowshipped.".

  So far, I have been guided to a man who died on the correct date who was in his 30s, but I got the impression he was in his 20s, so either my impression is wrong or the person guiding me to the 30-ish man is wrong.

  I had the incorrect impression that he was still in his 20s, but after talking to his mom and remembering that I met him when we first moved up here to the Seattle area, that was 14 years ago!! Time flies and as I get older, anyone younger than 40 seems like a "young person" to me. sorry if that threw you Megan. Feel free to email me if you have any more questions.

  have you ever got a gentle wiff of a really nice cologne and wanted to ask the owner what the name of it is??

  if its a woman i will ask, only because i want to go out and buy some.

  I've worked as a Ralph Lauren fragrance model, and you get to "sample" so many great fragrances. Young men love fragrance, I sold tons of Romance for men, Polo and Polo Sport to guys in their 20s.

  JimTX: I love Pi by Givenchy too! especially for summer

  My all time fav on Mak is Gucci's Envy for Men, but his natural scent is wonderful.

  I have a strange PH that turns most women's scents, but I always get compliments on Buocheron. I used to spray myself with the Jean Paul Gaultier le Men and it smelled great on me, don't know if I'd like it on a guy though...

  Was he a black brother? I had a McGee in the 80's in LA (he was so wacked). At the pioneer meeting he asked if there was anything we needed help with. I complained that the sisters always have to lead the meetings for service mid-week, and that we knew all the elders where retired or self employed. I asked why none of them could arrange their schedules so one of them could lead the group. He said "see, the brothers think the sisters are stupid, but they know when the brothers aren't caring for the flock properly." Boy was I popular with the elders after that comment.

  He also was disgusted with a toddler out in service that had a pacifier in his mouth. He said "when they are sucking on that thing...there's no brain waves." What a nut!!

  My father-in-law waited till he was 40 to marry. He took to heart the advise given at a district convention where one of the GB said it would be a waste to dedicate your life to "a hank of hair and a bag of bones". Real self esteem builder for the sisters!!

  "My Child is Dead"

  this morning we published a very moving story written by a jehovah's witness whose 15-year-old son died supporting the watchtower's society blood policy.

  to the best of my knowledge, this is the first time a jw parent has gathered up the courage to face down this monstrous policy after losing their child.

  this is a very special person indeed and when we finally gather enough of these folks together and set them in front of the right attorney, the wts will be in for some serious litigation.. at present mary is in the midst of divorce from her jw husband and nailing down a custody agreement, so the identity of her and her son must remain anonymous.

  Well the story hinges on the cause of death and the pre-care before the second hospital.

  This is probably true for legal purposes. For me, the feelings of a mother that lost her child and feels the guilt and anguish that her religious choices caused her child's death is what I can relate to...nothing could be worst.

  Thanks for the great post Billy!! I have often used the expression "socially retarded" to describe myself after years in the cult. I also have had to let go of extremely unrealistic expectations of how people ought to be. Trusting other people, and letting them in my life continues to be a big challenge for me.

  does every issue of morality have to be compared with the thinking and teaching of jehovahs witnesses?

  simply because you are no longer jehovahs witnesses does that mean that you flaunt all moral authority and engaged in any perverted pleasure that you have a mind to?

  because your morality is no longer legislated by a pseudo religious organization does that give you license to engage in all acts of "immorality" and refer to it "as just having fun.
