i knew one. i point blank asked him why he was at my house trying to argue religion when his business was failing, well pretty much dead. he gave me this pious look and said "joegoober will provide". i lost my cool right there and told him he was a loser and not to come back because i dont surround myself with losers.

Whats the most damning of the July 15 2013 changes?

a lot of the rank and file at the meetings seem to think some of the changes make more sense but what is the most damning of the changes that may help to wake to some up.

some thing the rank and file will not first see or understand as a big deal?.

what if he ditched his PREAPPROVED speach and practiced his first ammendment right on the subject of athieism? ill bet the good christians would be singing a different tune. also what does it say about our future when this guy who has an imaginary friend is the highest ranking in his grad class?

What problem did being a JW leave with your personality?

and i don't (necessarily) mean a religious or spiritual one.. for example, i think the traces of guilt and paranoia i often fight with come from being a born-in, but my biggest issue by far is not being able to live in the moment.. i have listened to the power of now audiobook (and eckhart tolle's voice put me to sleep) so i read it instead.

i have read other self-help books, most of them buddhist in leaning, but i still find it hard to stop thinking only in the future (thanks to the great trib, armageddon), or in the past (jesus, flood, 1914 being responsible for that).

and whilst i no longer believe the big a is looming, and barely give anything else a second thought, my behaviour has projected itself, and i still find it difficult just to 'be' in the moment, enjoying and savouring what i'm doing, and doing it to the best of my ability, i'm forever thinking what is coming up, and what i did badly last time.. my sister said the last time i visited her that she felt like she was waiting for something to happen "but not like armageddon, something else".

Unnecessary bad language

i've noticed a few posts where bad language is used when it is completely unecessary and detracts from the message.. please consider what your choice of words will have on other people who read the forum before you post them, especially for regular posts that are not in the adult section.. there is a time and place for anger and expletives but most regular topics are 'not it'..

Tech49 on HOURS, TIME, and REPORTS

i thought i would share some of my observations on counting field service time, reports, etc.

and how those reports are viewed, to those that are still so fixated on numbers.. i served as secretary on the service committee for many years, and have seen it all!.

i was really disheartened when wt changed the requirement for aux pioneering to allow for 30 hrs, instead of the 50 it has been for so long.
