Did any of you know the TATT before you left?

i know that all everyone's experience vary but i ask this because i am under the impression that since jw's are taught to avoid reading material that may be critical of their teachings they just stay away.

yet many of you violated this at some point to come accross information that confirmed or convinced you of "the problems" with the org.

i have also spoken to active jw's online who seem to know the controvercies but still defend the org vigorously.

i personally had no clue. i was really indoctrinated. i hated service but i did it. i liked giving talks though. i think what did it for me was realizing my destiny involved marrying from a limited supply of females just because of availibility. even then my brain said "jehoobr will supply one at the right time". lol. what a tool. interestingly i had the adam sandler album "what the hell happened to me" if you have not heard it, i recommend it... well there was a skit called "joining the cult" check it out. anyways there was a conversation to the effect of "do you think the hot girl has a friend for me?" and adam replys, "probably, and if she doesn't she'll go out and recruit one". i just kept hearing that. i guess subconsciously the connection was made.

jehovah's witnesses top the list in not being able to hold on to their younger members.

so what do they do to combat this?

do they go out of their way to change things to keep the next generation, their only real hope of long run survival?

that crap used to work with smurfs and troll dolls but tell a kid that his smartphone is from satan and there might be a riot. i told my buddy that i dont trust iphones due to privacy concerns, boy did he get butthurt

i was born, raised and grew old(er) in california -'45 to '94, and oregon since.

lived many years in santa barbara, ca.

where the change in seasons is noted by how foggy and damp it gets in the summer.

Any suggestions for a 'quick' tour of Yellowstone National Park??

i know the park is huge and i won't have much time there, but in a couple of weeks i will have a day or a day and a half to explore this part of the country.. i will be busy at big sky resort for a few days and leaving from bozeman on tuesday.

that leaves all day monday and possibly part of sunday to explore.. does anyone have any suggestions for maximizing my free time in yellowstone?

Fakesmile - Thanks for the valuable tip. That is top of my list. I think hantavirus is mostly being reported in Yosemite this year, though.

possesions do not define you. i hardly ever play pool... i have an 8 footer. and i eat with stainless steel forks, not my actual silver. and i drink sauza, not petrone. and ride an acura not BMW. good thing i hate the jw religion, they might guilt trip me into donating. kiss my grits. i went all day with no email and half the day with my co. website down b/c they wanted to prove a point with godaddy.. i kept up with the guy on twitter @anonymousown3r claiming responsibility.

it could have been a trick, but he did seem very in control of the situation.. i started watching some of their videos on youtube.
