what happend inn the word now?.

us is the word police doing what they want, putting peopel in prision and bombing innocent peopel,.

and yesterday he come upp widh a crazy idea that other countrys must pay tax on 30% iff they want to sell steel to us, and what will happend, europe must akt inn the same way, perhaps 30% on evry car imported from us, i must say i think this man is a dissaster for us.

I can see where the last name would make you think that Doug was trying to attack you. In your post above, you said that you were bummed out because the truce was broken. I hope that you will realize the truth in what Doug is saying and understand how a sensitive young man would want to come to his father's defense. Please let this die now. The idea that Doug would attack you anonymously is laughable, as that is NOT who Doug is.

The truce remains unbroken. I ask again, let this die.

Where Would You Live If You Could???

i have been many places.

a few years ago i left california to move to oregon so life could slow down a bit.

it has and i love it here.

Life in the Keys is definitely different than other places. I think the way the locals handle the humidity is to pretty much not do anything that doesn't involve being in the water and/or beer. Come to think of it, when I was there, that was all I did! Er...no, actually, that's not true...it WAS my honeymoon, after all!

We enjoyed it so much, we went back the next year...but I haven't been again. I would LOVE to go. Wouldn't want to live there tho, as the hurricane threat is a real one, and there's only one road out. What is it, about 4 hours from Key West back to Miami? No thanks!

could it be that women leave for different reasons than men?

do men tend to leave because of evidence and logic?

Interesting question Tim. Personally, I left initially over the mistreatment I and my children received at the hands of the elders. I saw the hypocrisy and just couldn't deal with it anymore. Some of the guys that I've talked to about it, though, left because they had doubts. Reasoning on those doubts led to their departure. This was strange to me when I first started discussing it because I had NEVER entertained any doubts about the truthfulness of the society. It took a huge emotional event to prompt me to hit the door.

Ok, I read the letter and I am even more surprised at your response Dung. This isn't in a spirit of attack but a spirit of curiosity. Some of the issues and questions Doug posed in his letter were the VERY ones that tortured me when I was leaving. Unfortunately, I didn't have anyone to help me find answers and I didn't know about support groups or websites, and so on.

Doug, I think the letter was very straightforward and honest. IMO, a person HAS to seriously look at the issue of questioning the actions and the history of the WTS; they have to develop the ability to reason for themselves on whatever is causing them concern. Otherwise, they'll just fall back into blind acceptance of the WTS party line. Good letter. Hard things to hear (read) maybe, but things that need to be said.
