Hell Exists
by breakfast of champions in.and it's also known as new jersey.. although we now have a generator to heat our house and run the water, we abandonded ship tonight because of the snow/wind, and we're staying with family.
my work days run about 14 hours/7 days a week, and then i have school at night two nights a week.. brutal.. it's a nightmare out there.
still huge trees down all over, all utilities on the ground, and now snow and wind.

it will be a long story, sorry.. my grandparents were brought up with different religious backgrounds but converted to bible students around the depression era.
later, my grandfather met my grandmother through the congregation and got married until his death, having a marriage that lasted over four decades.

My point Skeet is that Sab could contextualize the present with a deeper sense of history.
Everyone, including witnesses, like to paint things as in decline, when in fact we have moeved to more just policies. Understanding the extremism of the past is critical to understanding todays policies and inequalities. Even when a social wrong is corrected, there are lasting effects felt in the population, especially in the areas of economics and health.

Slavery was abolished.
All races can vote.

How to help a friend who has left the truth!!1
by caswinchester ini was after any advice or suggestions about how to support a friend who was born and raised in the truth, my friend is now 22 and has tried to fade out but his parents are having a hard time accepting this, don't get me wrong i understand why they are, but the stress and pressure he is under is taking it's toll on him.. i have tried to be there for him as i use to study with the jehovah witness's some years ago but i don't think i can or will ever truly understand what it's like to be born into a family of jehovah witness, i understand why his parents are shunning him and they only talk to him when they think they have come up with away to get him to go back to truth.. .
i would like to hear any real life exsperances and how you where there and helped a friend deal with leavign the truth and accepting that your family will most likely never going to talk to you again.. .
