i've just had a few beers with my old mate ray, the non-jw husband of sausage lucy.. poor guy, he's never been remotely interested in jw's, he thinks that they are a bunch of losers.
unfortunately for ray, he met lucy when she was a frisky ex-dub, but now that she has seen the light, ray had better conform or else!.
poor ray has just been kicked out of his house for the umpteenth time, lucy is now getting to be regarded as a "domestic" by the somerset police.. ray's crime?

That's a sad story about your friend ray. It must be a hell of a christmas for him. Sad Sad The problems the wt causes. Maybe he could show her the wt article advising that jws CAN engage in some christmas practices for their spouses. I disremember the exact date. Maybe it would help for next time.
Being a bit flippant, i could suggest renting him a 'wife' for christmas. wink wink But of course, that could be destructive as well.

You started this thread w a hypothesis. You gave nothing to support it, but you complained when people took exception to it. Other than complaining and trying to pick up lilacs, you havn't done much.

Very interesting. I wonder if david also drew inspiration from her. He enjoyed philistine hospitality while massacring their towns, all the while claiming he's raiding his fellow jews.

An arbitrary theological world view based on cave man mythology. Thichi, you should personally check back w god. Ask him if what you said really happened. Then wait for its answer.

i'm not going to be able to mention everyone on this post, for many reasons, but i'd just like to mention a few folks who made my journey so much more comfortable.. thanks for all the many deep posts about the validity of the bible, the theory of evolution, scientific facts, etc.
you have to be one of the most interesting people of the world, folks.
sure, we had some fights, some name-calling.
You aren't leaving, are you?

lets talk about the elders, circuit overseers and district overseers youve dealt with.
the good, the bad, the ugly, the stupid, etc.
just go ahead and unload both barrels; reload if you want to.. then in a future thread we can discuss how to drain the energy from these memories so that you remember without reliving.
large squid baffles, amuses scientists.
by maggie fox, health and science correspondent.
washington (reuters) - an enormous squid that grows 23 feet long and lives as deep as three miles under the ocean, has baffled scientists with what they call its strange looks and weird behavior.. the squid have been spotted all over the world -- in the gulf of mexico and the atlantic, pacific and indian oceans -- by undersea.
>it was in a characteristic posture, floating vertically in the water with the arms spread out
> strange looks and weird behavior.
>the squid did not move much at all
Sounds like the legendary meditating master squid. Extreme periods of meditation can cause these symptoms.

sometimes i go to a meeting...usually when the co visits in case they actually say something of interest.
the reason i go occasionally is to validate my decision to leave 2 hours at the meeting is enough to convince any normal person with a brain that it is not the truth.. i went this morning.

You know we wouldn't last very long before the ms's would ask us to leave. I would be my first meeting since 1996.

I did a quick google search and one of the first few sites ( http://www.star.ucl.ac.uk/~idh/geology/moon.htm) gave the following:
Composition
The most abundant element in the Moon's crust is oxygen (60 per cent), followed by 16 to 17 per cent silicon, 6 to 10 per cent aluminum, 4 to 6 per cent calcium, 3 to 6 per cent magnesium, 2 to 5 per cent iron, and 1 to 2 per cent titanium (all per centages by weight). All other elements are present only in trace amounts (less than 1 per cent by weight). The amounts of oxygen, silicon, and aluminum on the Moon are comparable to their abundance in Earth's crust. There is more iron and titanium in the Moon's crust than in Earth's, and the alkali metals, carbon, and nitrogen are less abundant than on Earth. Of the compounds formed by these elements, silica constitutes between 40 and 50 per cent by weight of the Moon's crust, compared to 48.5 per cent by weight of Earth's crust.
----
I wasn't really concerned about the reflectivity of the moon. I was illustrating that the wt theory that the moon is the way it is where it is because god considerately wanted to give us a nightlite was ridiculous. If that had been his desire, he could have created 2 or 3 additional moons, so we would never have totally dark nights. Some planets have multiple moons.

The so called glass on the moons surface is silica. Here on earth silica sand is used to make glass. If you go into some of the large deserts, you will see miles of silica sand, similar to the lunar surface. Surely gods love and wisdom are evident in the creation of all the huge deserts we have scattered around the various continents on this planet, not.
