Freepeace,
Thank you for that. Hopefully that 'sister' has found comfort and solace within the ranks of the 'apostates'. Dan Sydlik was such an ASS. Knowing him personally he is capable of such comments and more.
below is an e-mail i received from a former sister in the pacific northwest.
she was df'd several months ago for discovering and asking about the un controversy.
being rather inexperienced with the internet, she stumbled onto freeminds.org (i believe) and printed out info on the wts's un connection.

did anyone else have the bile come up, when you heard those "kingdom songs" during the dateline show?
it made me feel ill.........and almost like leaving the room.
i wonder why i have such an aversion to anything connected to a kh meeting?
It was creepy. My wife had to cover her ears and eyes, she was so freaked out by it all, but I have to admit it added a good touch to the show and it really gave the feeling of what it WAS like being part of it and how thankful we are not!!!
all of the non-jw's that i know were shocked to hear that the jw's consider worldly people to be part of satan's world.
most non-jw's only know that the jw's are holy rollers who go door to door trying to convert.
they really don't know much more about them and to learn this was a bit of an education.. devon
LB, VEN,
I hope you guys counted your time, it is getting close to the end of the month you know...

okay folks major news here.. dateline won its time slot with a 9.2 rating and a 16 percent share.. there are an estimated 102.2 million television households in the usa.
a single ratings point represents 1%, or 1,022,000 households.
Hawkaw,
Thnx for posting that. That is great!! I was somewhat dissapointed that Dateline did not devote a whole hour to the subject, they have done it with other stories that only affect a few people, whereas here thousands if not millions of people are affected in one way or another.
With all the info. they have that was not presented I would hope that Dateline might reconsider running a follow-up story to this subject. Maybe by all of us e-mailing them and letting them know the impact it had they might just do it.
i just spoke on the phone to amazing (jim whitney) who is in intensive care in a chicago hospital.
on monday he had a major heart attack, had a stint put in an artery to unblock things and may have bypass surgery.
he's comfortable enough right now, but of course will have to make some big lifestyle changes.
Amazing,
Best wishes from my wife and myself and hope you have a speedy recovery. Hope to see you here soon again. BTW we also were from the Portland, Oregon area.

Good points made. It is important to keep a level head. Troubled is here like most of us are, for information, and hopefully some understanding.
Troubled,
Please do not let this keep you from reading Ray Franz's books, especially In Search of Christian Freedom, they are incredible, it changed my life and help make my decisions more easy. Hang in there, many of us were where you are right now.
i just got an email from dateline, saying it was going to be about "chandra levy.
" also, it says "dateline friday," but here in co, dateline is on "tuesdays.
" so i am confused.
Troubled,
It was advertised all last nite w/ trailers saying it is going to be tonite, Tues. May 28th. Check your local listing in Colo. to see what time, maybe after the basketball game.

We had such a wonderful time with all of you also. All day we looked fwd to meeting you. You are really great people. It is nice to know of others in the 'hood' who share the same experiences. There are others to hold down the fort. By the way safe4kids, we are splitting the $10.00 50/50 right?
i knew it!!!
the article is lengthy but june brown, a retired legal secretary from atlanta and veteran salvation army relief volunteer, said this about jw's:.
"a lot of people don't like it when they grab you by the collar," brown said.
LeslieV,
Thank you for sharing your exp. with us. We also went to Ground Zero, esp. being a former Bethelite and JW, it was something to behold. I was ashamed that the JW's were not more available than just to offer some tracts and some magazines to later use as seat coverings.
Thank you for your work as a member of the Salvation Army. The love and compassion displayed exemplified the love Jesus taught us.... obviously not displayed by those elders. Why couldn't WT send some 100 strong bethelites to help remove debris for a week, where is the love?
bill bowen's candlelight vigil is starting in 15 minutes.
i have my candle ready to light!!!.
marilyn (aka mulan).
We have our candles lit here in Tampa for those we know who are victims but too afraid to speak up!!
