hi guys i posted on this forum a couple of months ago to find out how many ex jws there are from my region, i am interested to find out how many have left the witnesses and perhaps start a support group for ex jws in our area

we find god's name "jehovah" so many times in the old testament, but not at all in the new testament.

jesus is called a "mighty god" in the bible.

jesus is also called "father".
'In Union' Help please

ok, i know that this topic must be in the archives somewhere, but i can't find it so here i am asking for help.. i have a web page that i have set up to show the 53+ times that the wt have mistranslated "in you" and "in me" to say "in union with ".. http://www.agapeacceptance.co.uk/union.htm.

i have both kit's so i don't need some one to tell me that's the way to show the error, i can do that.

however, most jw's just tell you that the translation committee knew what they were doing when they made all 53 into "in union with", and they fob you off.. does anyone know of a web page that looks at this in more detail and especially has reputable greek scholars comment on what they have done.. many thanks for any help.

do you think jehovahs witnesses churches will be safe.will jws go to self defense classes.will jws think it the government turning on them to fulfill bible prophecy.will the jws be concerned about there kids at risk.will it be all over the media.will the jws change there policies.

JW's using apostate literature?

ok, hi and firstly if you get to see this more than once i apologise, but then i don't have a lot of choice, i need help quickly if possible.. i have a friend that i have been witnessing to for the past 6 years.. she has been in the witnesses for 25 years and yet god is moving.

an example of this, and it is by no means the best one, is that this week she put through my door two christian tracts that had been put together by sgm international ( http://www.infocomp.torun.pl/sgm/ ) .

the ones she gave me where not ones containing doctrinal issues, but basic gospel ones.. .

hello to all ........ .......and after two weeks trying to work out what is going on here i think i have it.. possibly... and if i have sorted it out, then i think i am welcome to post here with my little story.. i have never been a jw, but looking back i thank god that something stopped me, because i came real close.. in 1993 my life was at rock bottom, ... girl friend had left me for another man, taken our son and disappeared.... no job.. no where to live (literally).... and various adictions, mainly gambling and drink... (ohh that's part of the reason she left, although many have said that i did more around the house than this girl i was with.. )anyway i digress.. at this time i had few friends, but one that i could always turn to was carol.

she was bubbly lady, divorced, teenage child, lots of 'stuff' going on, but what a laugh.. now carol was 'studying', and now and then i would arrive in the middle or just before a meeting.

i actually stopped and listened twice, but none of what was being taught went in, it all seemed wrong.. i should say that she had been sttudying for a long time, a very long time and i'll give credit where credit is due.. this elder that was coming to see her had some staying power...lol.
