Memorial Attendance ???

hi all, anybody any anecdotal or actual idea of how attendance numbers went this year ?.

there are hints that it is well down, but is it ?

and if it is, will the borg stop crowing about the attendance as they always have ?.

For the fourth year in a row attendance was down where I went. Average drop per year has been 10. That is a forty person drop. Nothing there to brag about.

The right to record your judicial committee meeting

ok.. we have often heard secret recordings online of jc hearings.

but, what i would like to know is if individuals are entitled to the right of officially recording their judicial hearings?.

supposing i was to attend a judicial committee and i explained up front that i would like to record the proceedings and then place a dictaphone on the table.

now that the talks for this summer's conventions are available online i read through them and they could have been written in the early 70's...same thing no changes.. talk #50 "future events will require courage - the final test" illustrates how jdubs have lost so many brain cells by studying the watchtower and going to meetings that they will not even think about the reasonableness of what the speaker will be saying....they will just be a crowd of bobbleheads.. the outline says "at the end of christ's thousand year reign, satan will be released "for a little while".

the many and complex issues surrounding the collection of person data and new laws aiming to protect individuals control of their own privacy, seem to have hatched about the same time as the governing body expressed their hope that it´s own 8 million would obey their order to "sign this form" effectively transfering total authority over privacy and data issues over to the borg.. what are your thoughts on this coincidence?.

zuckerberg lost billion$$ when people realized that he had prostituted their personal data and now wt wants the same signed access that he had to info that is $$$.... wt already owns all the real estate and now wants to own all the data.... it´s a current and global issue - please share your thought with the rest of us here.. .

Poppy cock. Thats all legal disclaimer and mumbo jumbo. The org dosent collect any of that. Notice all the uses of “may”. Again... relax. This is nothing.

Normally you and I are pretty well on the same page. However, in this case I wonder if the use of the word "may" is just as innocuous as every other use of "may" by WT where "may" and "should" become WT marching orders?

Of course I will admit that I am much more cautious than anyone else I personally know about loss of personal data, even to the point of shredding anything with my name on it that needs to go in the waste.

I have thought that was going to happen eventually. My opinion is that "nu-lite" will be old light re-hashed, and there will be at least THREE groups of JDubs. One group, the chose little flock going to heaven to sit with Jeebus, the "great crowd" in heaven, as Revelation says, and an un-numbered bunch of "other sheep"...just ripe for shearing....

Is porn really such a big problem in the wt?

in the most recent circuit assembly there was a lot about porn and warning against porn.

even warning against looking at swim wear adverts!

so i was wondering, is porn really such an issue in the wt?.

p.s. Watching Porn is not a "scriptural" grounds for divorce.

Ah...but when the frigid wife succeeds in catching her frustrated husband watching "porn" and then turns him in the eldurrs will "counsel" him. At that point any more viewing of "porn" or spanking the monkey will be classed as "brazen conduct" and he will be summarily "executed" (dis-fellowshipped).

It's been going on already. And YES, they are building up to some, "impractical from a human standpoint", MAJOR change. On that fact I would be willing to place a large bet. And I would be just as sure that in some way it will involve the money of the R&F.

i keep saying this is a bad place/policy to put all the time, energy and resources if you really do in fact care, or if you are just riding the agenda bandwagon: .

an assault-weapons ban is irrelevant to suicide deaths.

the large majority of gun deaths are suicides, and there is no credible argument that an assault-weapons ban will have the slightest effect on suicide.

You are probably actually less likely to engage in useless road rage because you realize the consequences of escalation.

Not sure immediately, I do seem to remember reading a study that proved your comment. I know as a responsible CWP firearm owner, who has the legally government issued permit so I can carry a firearm in my vehicle without it being visible to tempt thieves, I know that I refuse to engage road rage drivers for that added reason. I will not open myself to the results of yielding to emotion brought on by some liberal idiot who thinks they never have to take responsibility for their actions towards other people.

At the same time I will not hesitate to defend my person, my family, or even one of the gun-ban nuts should their life depend on it.
