  Legal Concerns About "Zoom" Meetings!

  this whole "zoom" thing has got me wondering whether some of it is legal or not.

  if a person has to dress up for a zoom meeting the way the watchtower dictates, doesn't this really go "beyond" cult?.

  even the cults who committed mass suicide were able to dress the way they wanted for their meetings.

  Screw them would be the normal reaction from the Dubs. They care not a bit about the older ones who have been chewed up and spit out by the congregations. They consider them to be worthless now. I saw that first hand with my own parents. People who had received thousands of dollars of their financial aid, hospitality, and hundreds of hours of emotional support, turned on them like the snakes they really are as soon as my parents age along with the infirmities that go along with aging caught up with them.

  keep social distancing, make grocery run for elderly...

  Well at least now they have a letter giving them permission from and the governing body's direction to ignore anyone they feel isn't compliant enough. As far as grocery runs for the elderly...why would they do that now in "tough" times when they couldn't lift their little fingers to do it when things were easy. G.D. hypocrites!

  not only do they want everyone dressed up for the zoom meetings( which i won't do) they decided to keep the zoom meeting at 1pm sunday!

  so they don't upset their spiritual routine!

  I've heard of some congregations holding meetings for field service via Zoom on Saturday & Sunday.

  Yep, every morning except Tuesday; that's when they have to have all day to "prepare" for their meeting. I had to set it up for another family member, and on the connect to a meeting screen there is a field for ones name. I just put a period. Now they are trying to figure out who has the black screen (no camera) with only a white dot in the middle.

  Yes it was awful how the CDC warn trump administration months ago and trump chose to do nothing.

  And that would be unlike the democrats who spent the end of January, the first part of February focusing on their scam-peachment B.S. while President Trump was closing the borders to China, how? Just a few days worth of what the Trump administration did. There is much more.

  January 27: The CDC issued a level III travel health notice urging Americans to avoid all nonessential travel to China due to the coronavirus.

  January 29: The White House announced the formation of the Coronavirus Task Force to help monitor and contain the spread of the virus and provide updates to the President.

  January 31: The Trump Administration:

  Who `d a Thought The GB would Listen to the United Nations And Stop Witnessing for Jehovah.?

  "we must obey god rather than men" act.5:29 has sure been discarded now and the gb are obeying the united nations world health organization and shutting down all of their "witnessing" operations ,very effectively i might add.. instead of boldly proclaiming the kingdom message as they used to blow there own trumpet about obeying god rather than men they are now more in fear of what the superior authorities will do to them if they don`t obey them.. this is something nobody banked on ever happening least of all the governing body of jehovah`s witnesses that the preaching work would come to a standstill .. of course they will put a spin on it ,that there protecting the health and well being of their members and the public.. but the fact remains they are not trusting in jehovah to protect their members nor are they trusting in jehovah to keep the "worldwide preaching work" going.. what do you think ?.

  Exactly! I did ask an eldurr about Acts 5: 29, and he replied, "But this is different." No explanation of WHY this wold be different than any other guideline or rule telling JDubs to quit preaching. I also asked about their time worn scripture Hebrews 10: 25 they always used in order to beat Dubs who missed meetings. Not forsaking our meeting together, as some have the custom, but encouraging one another, and all the more so as you see the day drawing near. No answer to that one.
  Then I asked him if they should just go in the public service, hold the meetings, and see if God would bless and protect t hem after all doesn't the Bible say that God said, "test me out, please, in this regard,” Jehovah of armies says, “to see whether I will not open to you the floodgates of the heavens and pour out on you a blessing until there is nothing lacking.”

  no...not a warning from me, rather that is the subject of the "local needs" that i heard was presented via zoom tonight.. beware of apps!

  they harped on the idea that only apps approved by the governing body should ever be downloaded or used by jdubs.

  they said if they had not been featured in the litterature or specifically recommended by the governing body then jdubs should heed the warning and avoid them.. i guess they are, as we all suspected, very afraid of what the dubs will find out now that they have to use only electronic devices for their "food"..

  Covid-19 (Coronavirus) - Status Update Thread

  this topic is to focus on status updates & advice (no opinion or politics please).. status.

  latest status is that it's serious, probably isn't going to be contained and most large companies are making contingency plans, cancelling large events etc... which i don't think would happen if it was just people being alarmist.

  the incubation period means it may have already spread further and infected many more people than are currently known, so expect jumps in the numbers over the coming days and weeks.. tracking.

  I suffered the same thing late December. Lasted about two weeks with another nearly three weeks until I felt back to normal. If it were the COVID-19 it is good to have had it, got over it, and now can move on with doing what must be done around the place now that weather is getting so nice. Don't need, or much want, to go out in public. So I will enjoy home.

  BTW...if anyone is REALLY hard up for toilet paper I could be persuaded to sell my supply for one-half of what I paid for it. It is only used on one side. (insane laughter)
