Not if she makes a huge donation to WT. As one "elder" suggested to me several years ago, "Why get married? If you want sex just hire a couple hookers when you are in Las Vegas. Then when you get home go confess, and claim a moment of weakness. If you offer to make a BIG contribution to the hall you will get off."

This from a guy that cheated on two wives, was a chronic drunk, committed tax fraud more than once, but always manage to drop a thousand in the money box every month.

Pass on cars to attend Assemblies?

i have just read a post about february 2025 (i suppose) announcements in italy saying that from now on at assemblies they need a pass, given by elders, to put on cars.. is that possible/true?.

Is it first come first served when it comes to the parking spots nearest the building or do disabled people have preference, marked spots for disabled only?

There should be. The last CONvention I went to was 11 years ago in order to take my aged disabled parents who pleaded with me to take them. Every. Single. Last. handicap/disabled designated parking spot was "reserved" for the governing body and New York heavies who were there. I was grudgingly allowed by the parking "nazis" to pull up to the front of the venue and drop them off. Then I had to leave as they struggled to get into the venue, and by the numbers on my odometer drive over one-half mile to park, then walk back to the venue in order to assist them. To top it off we had to put up with towel "nazis" who kept yapping about, "Only one paper towel square per person."

I never took my parents to another one, and I refuse to put up with that s--t from anyone, especially the moron jw's that get a little power over others.

JW internal culture is destroying everything that makes a Jehovah’s Witness

the entire internal religious culture of the watchtower organization is harmful for its current members.

the culture seems to traverse ethnic and national barriers.

however, the worst of each culture all around the world appears to have a symbiotic relationship with the religion in an attempt to make the org fanciful in every nation and locality.

Another aspect or the internal culture is the present aloof state of the congregation elders around Britain. They do not take their sheep seriously. Nothing will ever please them.

That isn't just Britain. That is what I find to be a common complaint in every congregation where there are still ones who are in that talk to me have.

WTS refers to Acts 15 to prove there is a governing body, but that phrase never occurs in the bible even the RNWT.

You are correct. The only reference to 'governing body' is a WT term inserted in the ** nwtsty Acts Study Notes—Chapter 15 ** It is a JW term, and interesting that in that reference it is not capitalized about those elders while when they refer to themselves they do capitalize the G and the B as in an assumed title.

Reminds me of what Jesus said in the first eleven verses of Matthew 23 about the Pharisees in his day.

Of course, Jesus did not tell us that his faithful slave would produce perfect spiritual food.

Well JW's cannot be so picky. After all a perfect God and a perfect Jesus just cannot be expected to furnish food that is perfect. The JW's need to be satisfied with the spoiled food that the gibbering boobies give them that would otherwise be thrown out.

from my experience within the jw organization, i understood that salvation meant a person accepted the teachings of the wbts without question as the "faithful and discrete slave," thereby placing their trust in them, not jesus christ.

salvation consisted of being found "righteous" by jehovah and resurrected to everlasting life in an earthly paradise.

to obtain this salvation, one needed to obey the organization's teachings, remain a faithful jw, and lead a moral life.

Jehovah has specific requirements for those seeking salvation. They must acquire accurate knowledge, exercise faith, repent of their sins, be converted, make a dedication to God, and undergo baptism as believers. They must also understand that dedication and baptism identify them as Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Baptism serves to identify him as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. It also puts the one baptized in line for eternal salvation, provided he remains faithful to Jehovah.—Matthew 24:13.

A few Watchtower quotes inform how JWs believe one obtains salvation. You must become a JW. That includes obeying the governing body mandates about your dress, grooming, dietary habits, medical choices, employment choices, education choices, marriage choices etc. without question even if they are 180 degrees different than they were last year, and even if they seem impractical.

Youngster: Sure brother Older than dirt.

Old elder: Drop trousers.

2nd Older elder: Yep, he's got a twig and berries. And he is a good brown noser. Appoint him.

here is my story of becoming a missionary after having kin suen (pronounced “shin”) as my circuit overseer.

my father wanted me to go to college, but since he wasn’t a witness, i knew he just didn’t understand how close we were to the end.

i had actually become a circuit overseer!

The elder body hardly preached, they didn’t care. I did care and I kept trying.
