Alot of problems arise when talking about trying a person like Saddam. Where will he be tried? Under what authority will he tried? What laws will prevail?
Saddam cannnot get a fair trial anywhere. The previous views expressed in this thread pretty much show that everyone knows he is guilty and therfore should pay with his life. A trial is supposed to presume that a man is innocent and the prosecution is supposed to prove to either a judge, panel of judges or a jury of his peers; that the defendant is indeed guilty. Where do we find an unbiased judge or jury to condemn this man. Also, who would actually comprise a jury of Saddam's peers?
I think any trial of Saddam Hussein would be farce. It would be a choreographed affair, with the judgement a forgone conclusion. It would be better to just leave the man with a 38 special and one bullet.

What differentiated the Jews from the rest of the tribes roaming around in those days? The only clue the bible gives is that their founding father had faith in god. It doesn't matter that Abraham was a spineless coward that gave up his wife to Pharoahs harem in order to save his own sorry ass, all he needed was faith in a nameless unproven god. Perhaps Jesus, was not the wise man he is portrayed to be? He didn't seem to leave enough info. about himself, to eliminate stone throwing among his followers, concerning WHO he really was/is
It would appear too that his early followers obscured his message by destroying any accounts that didn't totally gel with their vision of Christ. People have been blindly following this incomplete account ever since.
