Men add the burden....God said this Love him & love your neighbor....he gave us 600 rules, brought it down to 10 commandments, & we couldn't do it so he downsized it to 2...maybe you humans can do these two...

Man wants to add a bunch of rules to man, why ? Because they have something that they do so they add burdens to make them feel they have repented...Man wants you to say the Lord's prayer backwards on 1 leg...God just wants us to balance our lives...just treat each other good...

Why do we read to much into the bible or God...God even tells us what it takes...he don't want no more sacrifices. Many people have no idea what God wants...they had burdens to look more pious....

I can find other scriptures of what God really wants...Just believe he sent his son for us...& that Jesus is his son & he died for mankind...and so no need to follow the law .....

That's my thought anyways...

the other day on this site, a lot of topics about the org.

and sexual abuse...now when i come on this site...crickets... what happened ?

it seems everyone is being exposed except the org...oh yes it's mentioned here and there but then it fades away...many celebrities are being exposed....& gov't officials and even our president, but not the org...ummmm.... thoughts ?.

The reason why I brought this up again, is that we humans get all hot and bothered when stuff first happens then it fizzles out...because we soon forget, until the next time...yes, there are things that we shouldn't keep harping on but to me this is not one of them...

We get upset when the friends have no empathy or sympathy for others, unless it happens to them...are we like that on this site...do we really care, or just glad to be out & to heck with the ones who are stuck there, not the ones who know they are being lied to but still remain...Have we turned into the folks we most hate...or do we still have the JW spirit, if it didn't happen to me ....

I do understand not beating a dead horse but this is serious...I question why everything is being exposed except the org.

Everyone is accountable for their actions...everyone...even us.

The newspaper makes a big deal out of stuff then in a day or two...it's goes to the back page until, it's not mentioned anymore...

This is about peoples lives and how they are and will be affected, not to be taken lightly...

Sorry if I offended anyone or opened up some wounds...like one of the commenters said, it helps to talk about it...there are many intelligent folks on this site, don't be carried away with intelligence and writing ability so much so to have lost being human and caring about one another...

We all know most witnesses can't hold a thought too long...hear the message then as soon as the meeting is over it's forgotten...just like when you say a comment and someone said, "Loved your comment & you say, what did I say, I forgot", sound familiar. How many times have we gone out in service and are told our territory and some write it down some take a pix of it...still when it's time to go...Many if not all the friends say...Where we going, again, what did the brother say, sister...because we all know not all but most of the friends are thinking about something else...So do we still have that same MO..."How soon we forget"

think about this new mode(cart work) of keeping the rank & file busy with theocratic/self indoctrinating pursuits instead of door to door work which might put them in more financial jeopardy if one of their congregation's free roaming pedophiles uses this as an opportunity to molest an interested person at the doors.

i think the watchtower corporation is in some serious doo doo and wants to limit their legal liability as much as fucking possible, if they still have half a brain that is and not suffering from some severe form of dementia(which you never know being that they are suffering from tremendous brain shrinkage being that they are leaders in a fundamentalist mind control cult which prays upon fear and ignorance and most likely missing a lot of cards in their deck if you know what i mean).. i'm thinking if these guys are only half braindead from the bull shit they sign off on to be printed in their publications they must be able to see the tremendous damage financially that the mandatory door to door work for corporate interest poses if some brazen pedophile uses this situation to satisfy some primal urge.

but you never know these guys on the governing body of la la land must be on some serious meds to be functioning these days so only time will tell..

Yesterday, on this site a lot talk about all the various newpapers and media picked up child abuse in the org...links galore...now today, I look on this site...what was hot news yesterday, it's on page 6 today...

Do we really care or are we more concerned about starting topix and sounding intelligent, but could care less about the abuse cases...are we excusing this just like our gov't is, much rather put a child molester in office than a democrat.

The walls are closing in on all sex offenders. With the Washington Post digging into folks pass, no one is safe...everyday in the news...more and more sex offenders...

Good for the UK...now let's see if New York area gets a hold of it...with all these stories, wonder how the org. is going to wiggle out of it...it seems those who are accused can either deny it or admit it and apologize...

We just have to see how this plays out...who would think that all this sex offender stuff would be hitting the fan...

I''m in the hall. Many of the friends have children but either over protective of them or they think we are built in babysitters...many that come in are single parents and they get love bombed and think wow, I can leave my child with Mr. & Mrs. Loving...some of the witnesses didn't even want any children but now they have them....you should see them at the hall...they looked whipped...D2D, letter writing, 2 meetings a week, spiritual homework, it's too much for them, but they blame the system not realizing the org. is keeping us so busy, we don't have time for our kids...

In the prison system if you are in jail for pedophile they call you Short Eyes....& they deal with you...& it's not pretty, they just may kill you....even a murderer looks down on a pedo's...what's that saying about us ?

All I want to know is when the New York Times will pick up the JW's news...If this type of news comes out of NYC, folks will believe it...Not saying any of these papers are not worthy, but the world believes and reads The NYT's, even the Daily News...

Again, what's protecting the org...or who ?

& Just an FYI: If you think the friends don't know...they do...when folks don't talk about stuff means they know...if it's mentioned here & there then many may not know...they know...just too embarrassed to say they do...many of them have talked about other religions and now it's them...Many of them just hopes this blows over...

I've spoken to a couple of witnesses and they know personally of some elder touching a child and nothing was done...many even had it happened to their child ....but the org. is the only place that THEY belong...scared to go out in the real world...scared to deal with real problems...most witnesses not all are misfits...and the org. is noticing that as well. That's why they don't want us to keep dragging a bible study for a long time...just for hours...the org. is bringing in mentally challenged folks...& they can't be helped, they need professional help...Many will keep a bible student no matter what, they could be dribbling, but they making time...

All, I can say is when will major media pickup this story...

Why? Because they have SOMETHING TO HIDE...they have been pointing fingers at other religions for years...it's their pride and they know they would lose folks....

The org. is where I learned if you point one finger at someone, 3 fingers are pointing back at you...

Remember this is God's organization, & he wouldn't have pehophile's in the org. & if he does then, in time he will weed them out but only Jehovah can weed them out, not authorities...Plus it's all about the $$$$...

The org. has been hiding this for a while now...

Somehow, I feel the org. is Teflon...everything and everybody is being exposed, just look at the news...nothing is a secret anymore, all that was done in the dark is coming to light....seems there is a lot of sexual abuse going on...

This story teaches us you can run but you can't hide from God...he will find you wherever you are & you will do his will, even if you got to spend 3 days in a whale to get your head straight...

Even a new believer or a re-newed believer can preach the good news...and Jonah preached through-out the city of Ninevah, which was bigger than Manhattan...Must of been the nutrients that the whale had in his tummy that gave Jonah his energy and zealousness for the preaching work.
