  could someone please help me with some suggestions!!

  my family has been out for about 4 1/2 months now.

  we have been inactive for a few years off and on.

  If it was me, and this is my opinion, I wouldn't discourage the father from having anything to do w/the baby. He is the father.......dub or not. This may be the time for some invtervention from a professional.......counselor or support group.

  We all make mistakes and I just want her to be able to move on

  I was a "mistake" when my mother was 17. She got married (thing to do back then) and then divorced when I was around 1-1/2. My father and I were seperated all those years (mother's decision) and I missed out on knowing a great guy. We finally reunited when I was 21.......but damn, I sure wish he could have been part of my life. Mistake, suprise or whatever, I turned out to be a great person! LOL...........

  (((shelly))) You sound like a good momma! I can only imagine how difficult this must be for you and your daughter (and the father).

  I don't need to tell you, but to get married at 17 would be a HUGE mistake! HUGE!

  Nothing bad happened in my life because I left he dubs. I have had a lot of hard knocks (and learned by each and every one of them) but it had nothing to do with no longer being a Jehovah's Witness. My parents would disagree with me, but I know better.

  My suggestion, keep being there for her. Being her support.....her constant in her life. Allow her to go thru all the feelings and help guide her right now. She needs her mom. A baby at a young age isn't the end of the world. Many many young people have done it. Make the best out of this situation and protect her from the dubs. Don't let them guilt her into anything.

  Anyone still bothered by the demons?

  hi i'm wednesday and born and raised in jw.-inactive several years.

  i have had a number of iincidents that appear to demonic've had spirit beings sit on my bed at ight and talk to me i've been literally touched by things unseen.

  now i know the jw are big on demon stuff.

  We need to respect each other's views, opinions and beliefs. Many of us were raised in dubdom......and to not respect other's opinions reminds me too much of that bullsh**

  I am not saying that everyone ought to believe in the paranormal, all I am saying is to please respect other's experiences.

  Something to Believe In ....

  as i watched all the coverage of the 9/11 tradgedy, i felt just a fraction of the grief that the families who lost loved ones that day.

  i shed tears, i lit candles , i even thought of praying.

  i just hoped that god would read my heart and would help me to find faith in him again.

  I never lost faith in God......I lost ALL faith in organized religions. God never talked to me personally, never lied to me.........but man did. But I understand what you are going thru right now. I truely believe that God wants me (us) to be good people. Pretty simple, yet pretty complex at times too. My life is a whole lot simpler when I keep the focus on me and my children as opposed to when I felt that I needed to save everyone with preaching the beliefs of the dubs. I never was at peace then like I am now.

  I know this is a difficult time for you right now, deedee. But also what an exciting journey you are on! You are "cleaning house", finding out what is important and what isn't. Seeing things for what they really are. It is going to be difficult, but well worth the effort.

  p.s., when you coming for a visit, girly?!

  does anyone remember the advice from from the stage, encouraging mothers to remove babies from the room when they were hungry?.

  how about, wooden spoons to beat toddlers into submission, preferably in front of the congegation, as to set an example in disipline?

  was this just in our hall, or was it from the borg?

  Cripes........I am going to rethink the parenting skills of my parents! They weren't that bad at all! I don't ever remember getting punished at a meeting......NEVER.

  i was associated with the watch tower bible and tract society of new york and pennsylvania, also known as, jehovah's witnesses.

  I called a JW woman who was a friend of Delores's sister and asked her if she would help. Her first question was, "Who is going to pay for it?".
  
  She did help and made coffee. She sent me a bill for the coffee.

  Bless her heart! A true friend of your wife's and also yours.
