  I'm on the fence with this one. I understand that a current B'Lite would take every precaution to hide their identity so that is to be expected. I have heard other B'Lites say that things are pretty miserable but they are also very guarded. Reprisals can be pretty strong for criticizers.

  Simple Question Re 1914

  wt claims that satan was thrown out of heaven in october 1914 precipitating ww!

  and the end times.

  a small problem with that is ww1 started on july 28th 1914 whilst satan was still in heaven picking his nose.. how did we not see this and waste years of precious life?

  i fear this could put an end to travelling a territory due to rising prices- where i am located in canada, we are now paying $2.08 per liter .

  now since there is 3.79 litres in one gallon that equates to $7.88 per gallon... .

  I stopped expecting the group to assist with expenses when we were out each week. They expected me to pay for everything - and I did. I never added up how expensive it was to be a zealot, but I am sure that it was the most expensive hobby ever with nothing to show for it. I stopped - they immediately shunned me. Glad to see it as it really is - not as I wanted it to be. Hey everybody! The rich guy has left the room.

  Thanks Atlantis! This appears to be a legal effort with JW input. As for the question on DFing... I say let them devour each other. Haters are gonna hate so why try to love one? JWs love hating and it makes them feel good. All the efforts to make them stop is like trying to force a boxer to make a living without boxing. Good luck with that.

  PEW says respect for government is at an all time low. Despite who is right and who is wrong, voters are weary of lies and manipulation. I suspect that a growing hatred of incumbents is in the works. Let's be honest - most politicians are crooks - some are just bigger crooks than others. Toss em all out and go have a beer.

  Date of Adam's "Creation?

  how do jws resolve these conflicting facts.. 1. no matter how you spin it, bible chronology calculates to circa 4000 bc for adam's creation.

  i followed the trail many years ago and that's what it adds up to.. 2. the most cursory investigation of any branch of relevant science puts man's habitation on the earth as hugely earlier than that.

  it's now so well-proved that anyone disputing it is guilty of wilful ignorance.

  Does it even matter? If you believe the Bible, then you have to acknowledge that ALL the spirit sons of God knew when Adam was created since they "applauded" at the creation. Yet, they do not know the day or the hour so why does it matter?

  The creation date of Adam apparently is not correlated to the destruction of the system if you reason on this honestly. JWs went down that path many years ago but in higher circles, they concluded that it had no bearing on the date for the GT or Armageddon. The numerologists among them may still cling to it but the publishing wing of the corp walked away from that speculation. I suspect that they quietly acknowledged that man has been on earth for a LOT LONGER than 6000 yrs. That is the story to keep your eyes on.
