  have anyone of you read, the absolutly jaw dropping paragraph in this article about a women who was hit by her husband?

  its in page 25 of the 2/15/12 wt study edition (i read the dumbed down version).. .

  if there was any question, that the watchtowers stance is for wives to simply take it when their husbands abuse them, this makes it crystal clear.. who the hell is scanning these things before they go to print?

  if she were my daughter, and kris humphries said to her what he said to ms. kim, when she voiced her concerns (again) about not wanting to move to minnesota (which she did before getting married and he "pretended" to accept), i might tell her he's the wrong guy/man, too.

  no, i don't believe in divorce "just because,"... and don't know that i would tell my daughter to divorce him (she made her bed, so to say), but.... what did he say?

  so we are looking after this stray we found called ''dog''.... she is ok seems to have settled down and made herself at home.

  lol.

  so this morning we jump in the car to take carrot to work and we put dog in the kitchen so she doesn't eat all my furniture.

  I would find a recording of a dog barking, whining, etc. and add it to your iPod.

  Then whenever you leave the house, set it to play very very loud, over and over and over and over and over.

  She'll call to complain about your dog barking. The authorities who deal with such things will pay you a visit. You'll say "dog? what dog? we have no dog."

  Eventually she will be sent to the looney bin.

  JW at work hitting on me!! (for real)

  on another thread i mentioned i met some jws at work within the past 2 months.

  well, 2 of them became particularly interested and getting to know me (a lady and a guy) the lady is really nice, and the only reason i know she is a jw is because she mentioned something about no b-days or christmas and that was it... she has not tried to preach to me or anything.... .

  on the other hand... this young guy, well he is making sure he becomes my friend, asked me to be my fb friend and messages me everyday at work or on fb... now the funny thing is he told me he is a jw and about 3 times already he had suggested i read my bible (whenever i post status about being bored or unable to concentrate on homework), well yesterday he sent me a message that said "i would like to talk to you tonite, maybe we can hit it up" my reaction was .

  This is the part that just chaps my ass, every single time I read it. To think that someone who may have spent their entire life in servitude to this damn cult isn't worth a paltry 30 minutes or so of everyone's time, with the majority of it devoted to a farging Infomercial for the cult, is utterly insensitive, positively exploitive, overtly crass, disgusting and completely ungrateful.

  My children were never taught that Santa is real.

  We talked about the original Saint Nikolas (who was real) and what he did, and how people loved him so much that they continued his generosity by giving gifts every year. We talk about garments that Saint Nikolas wore, and how it evolved into the Santa suit that is popular now. We talk about how the "Santa" at the store is playing pretend, and that the Magic Reindeer Food we put on the snow is playing pretend.
