  New Rumor: Downsizing Circuits/Assemblies

  heard a new rumor that:.

  the borg is going to phase out big district assemblies - so they can fit 'em in assembly halls.. they will reduce the size of circuits.

  Assembly Halls are normally pretty booked up, particularly if they are multi-congregation use as well.

  It wouldn't surprise me if this move resulted in the build of more multi-congregation Kingdom Halls/Assembly Halls. They'd pitch it such that it would spread the cost of purchasing land and construction over a larger number of publishers, making it more affordable for users.

  Then the WTS would charge them all higher per capita user fees (rent) because the buildings are newer, after all.

  The WTS never, ever makes huge changes of this sort unless it has a beneficial impact on their cash flow.

  Please! I need a plausible excuse for getting out of going to the memorial!

  i have been thinking about this for weeks!.

  nothing short of death will be acceptable to my mother!.

  i thought of saying i will go to another cong but my parents know people there so that won't work.. help!.

  i have a friend, she has been my friend for over 20 years...in that 20 years i have seen her reasonably regularly.

  i visit her, she visits me.. the thing that has started bugging me is this...... when i visit her it is normally in the daytime.

  i stop in for a cuppa and a chat.

  I like the idea of serving something less-than-substantial, and not too costly.

  Boiled eggs and toast, or tuna sandwiches. Or keep a carcass from a chicken and make broth with it, then throw in some chopped vegetables (1 carrot, 1 onion, 1 potato and 1 stick of celery - kind of wilted if you have it on hand). Don't add leftover meat or noodles or rice, just broth and veggies.

  Apologize profusely and say that you didn't have time to make a big meal / didn't get to the supermarket / have had to cut back your grocery budget but enjoy their company anyway. Or you could comment on how you've been researching dietary habits and are trying to get back to basics.

  What's the point of going if you aren't allowed to Partake™ anyway?

  For those who believe in the value of Jesus' Sacrifice™, to decline to Partake™ of the Emblems™ is tantamount to rejecting that Sacrifice™. It is blasphemy, really.

  And TOTH has a good point - if Jesus' Parousia™ began in 1914, what is the point of proclaiming his death via the Memorial™?

  The WTS 'claims' Reg. Pios. from 2006-2011, increased 42.6%. Quite high. (While their 'claim' of increased pubs during same time was 13.7%) I wonder why??

  I wonder if it has anything to do with the quota of hours being reduced, and thus being much more achievable/inclusive.

  i was sent a petition stop supermarkets here in uk from selling products supplied by a company called monsanto.

  i have never heard of them so i googled them and there doesn't seem to be anything good being said.

  should we be worried over here?.
