Get well Grace (Mouthy)

a loud get well grace from all of us to you.

everyone, grace has been in and out of the hospital and i'm sure she would love to read your get wells.

we miss you grace:) wish i could post pictures.

i was running the cash till at the annual boy scout fundraiser yard sale yesterday, wearing my finest boy scout t-shirt and enjoying the blistering heat, when i saw a local family of witnesses browsing the merchandise.

they studiously avoided looking at me, but eventually a bargain nightgown proved irresistable and the wife was forced to approach the cash table and ask about pricing.

we avoid putting prices on each item because there is just too much stuff and we remind everyone that the money sends the kids to summer camp so the guilt kicks in and people pay more.

Interesting how she snubs you for volunteering at a Boy Scouts fundraiser, but she has no qualms about shopping there.

Maybe she has a special library card. LOL

You realize that this puts her in a very precarious situation, right? Her Bible Trained Conscience™ will now be nagging her to report you to the Elders™, however if she does she will implicate herself in wrongdoing at the same time. The only way she could report you without implicating herself would be to lie about how she knew you were volunteering at a Boy Scouts fundraiser.

I've got $5 that says she will be compelled to sacrifice the nightgown on the BBQ before it strangles her in her sleep. LOL

87 year old sister (who's current husband, a total nazi one foot in the grave) was excited to relate that (she heard) a talk at the regional convention said a wife would be happy to meet her ressurected husband and grab him in her arms!

she reads that as reunion of the married kind.

she is pooping skittles she's so happy.

How I Know The Assembly Parts Are Made Up

we had a co looking for a certain experience for an assembly part coming up and the elders in my hall at the time sent him to see me, since i usually had good experiences out in field service.. anyway, after speaking with the co, i was sorry to inform him that i did not have an experience that suited the type he needed.

he told me that was o.k.

because he could use me anyway for another part.

Well, not only are JWs expected to lie when giving parts at a Circuit Assembly™, they are also expected to lie when they testify in court on behalf of a JW who is being represented by a WTS lawyer.

When I was a child, our family was friendly with another JW family - their kids were the same ages as me and my siblings and we were in the same classes at school. Anyway fast forward several years, and their youngest child gets pregnant, DFd and then marries the guy she was with. Eventually she decides she wants to be Reinstated™ so she can have contact with her JW family members. Her mom starts sending the mags to the house, which makes the girl's husband furious - ooooh, Persecution™! - and they eventually divorce. His family is well-to-do and threatens to do whatever they can to get custody of the kids - more Persecution™!

Because this is apparently a 'landmark' case the WTS laywers get involved. The two (Publisher™) Sisters™ who have been Conducting™ a Bible Study™ with this girl are asked to testify on her behalf, along with the two Special Pioneers™ who know the family very well. The WTS lawyers spend a couple of weeks with the Congregation™, and Monday to Friday consisted of intense coaching sessions with the four Sisters™ where they were practicing different scenarios that might come up in the court room. One such scenario bothered one of the Publisher™ Sisters™ very much. The question from the bench was something along the lines of "Do Jehovah's Witnesses teach that the government and its agents are under the control of the Devil?" We ALL know that this is taught. It's documented in the literature, and it's easily proven that it's taught. The Sister™ was conflicted - she was expected to swear on the Bible to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, and she was being told that in order to get the win for the WTS, it would be necessary for her to lie under oath - to commit the crime of perjury and suffer the consequences - by a legal representative of the WTS.

To add insult to injury, the two Special Pioneer™ Sisters™ were allowed to count the time spent in these coaching sessions toward their required hours for Special Pioneering™, which amounted to 150 hours per month at the time, the two Publisher™ Sisters™, putting in the same amount of time in the coaching sessions, were forbidden to add those hours to their Field Service Report™. This was the reason I even heard about the rest of the case, because my mom was so annoyed that she wasn't allowed to put those hours on her Field Service Report™, when she had given up her other activities in order to participate in these coaching sessions. She was actually less peeved about being asked to lie on the witness stand because for all the coaching time she put in, she wasn't called to testify. In a way, it was like Abraham's hand being held back from sacrificing Isaac - he was willing to commit the act in his heart, and then wasn't required to carry it through to completion.

What are the consequences if a JW files for an unscriptural divorce?

in january my wife separated from me, because she views me as an apostate (to make the story short).. at that time the elders explained to us, that the bible doesn't approve of such a separation.

i heard from my mother in law, that my wife finally wants to divorce.

(when i think of how my wife treated me the last year i actually want a divorce too).. now my question to you:.

If she wants to get married again, she will be DFd for adultery, since the separation and divorce are not based in scripturally approved grounds. And any potential BF she has among the JWs will be DFd for adultery as well, on the same grounds. However if you kanoodle before she does, she will be free to remarry.

You could - if approached to confirm any kanoodling with anyone else - deny that you are involved in such a relationship - and don't give them any reason to think that you might be lying about it either.

Let her be the one to suffer the consequences of instigating the separation and divorce.

i think she is a hypocrite and i bet she sells her invites to fornicators, or does she ask them if they are having sex before marrige, before she takes their money?.

i was never like this when i was a jw, it's even more disturbing that she is going to ask her elders what to do.

Dont' Neo Nazi's and Members of the KKK have rights too? It seems like when it comes to the topic of Gay rights, people aren’t allowed any options when it comes to their own sensibilities on the subject.

The thing with neo-nazis and KKK members is that they *do* discriminate and their events promote racial segregation, hate speech, etc. Refusing to serve them, when their viewpoints are in opposition to the civil liberties of the general public, would probably be legally permissible. If a group wants to promote their hatred, they can find someone who shares that viewpoint to do the stationery, catering, etc. I don't see a gay couple who want to spend the rest of their lives together in a committed relationship as a violation of anyone else's civil liberties. They aren't telling the JW stationery lady that she can't go Door-to-Door™ or attend Meetings™ at the Kingdom Hall™ or gather with other JWs at a Circuit Assembly™ or District Convention™. They just want to have a celebration of their relationship with their friends and loved ones - it is none of this JW lady's business to interfere with that.

The gay community should make an example of her for this - it is illegal for someone to discriminate on the basis of religion, race, creed or sexual orientation. She can't single out one segment of the community whose lifestyle offends her religious sensibilities, when she has likely provided services to couples who, if she bothered to inquire, would be found out to be committing fornication or adultery, which are also against her religious principles. Just because it's two males who wish to get married, it's just as offensive to refuse their business as it would be for her to refuse the business of a black or interracial couple.

I wonder if the JW business owner could get the WT legal team to represent her?

It's unusual for a daughter to have such disdain for her dad, even when they get involved with a cult like the JWs. Please ask her if there is something going on that she's been told by her father not to disclose to you.
