Blood Transfusions and Children's Rights

i am adding a section to my article on blood transfusions and would like the following critiqued and improved upon.. .

rights of children.

parents have a duty of care towards their children and governmental authorities are expected to remove a child from a parent that is mistreating or endangering a child.

by ariella montioctober 22, 2012 | posted in: city council, news, the latest | 0 responsesduring a closed session a month ago raleigh city councilors approved a $150,000 contribution to the christian congregation of jehovahs witnesses convention that will be held next year at the pnc arena.. the city has been contributing money toward the event since it first came to raleigh seven years ago.. this is not new, said city manager russell allen.

he said the event has been built into the citys annual budget for awhile.. the approval came during a closed session after the regular sept. 18 city council meeting.

So, let me get this straight:

The WTS / local JWs petition the city to cover a portion of the cost of the use of the facility and then have the audacity to expect JWs to donate toward the use of the facility, without informing them that the City kicked in a pile of cash already?

What I want to know is this:

Do they even factor in the amount of the city's donation? or is that conveniently omitted from the Accounts Report™ that's read from the platform on Saturday morning to remind everyone how much they "owe" for the Privilege™ of coming to the Convention™??

A problem with my daughter

should i try to dissuade my daughter from being baptized?

she doesn't seem to be in hurry.

all her " friends " are already baptized, some since early childhood which is ridiculous in my opinion.

Well, you can tell her that as long as she isn't Baptized™, she will not be accountable to the Elders™ should she wish to do anything that goes against the WTS's "rules". Things like going to college. Having a boyfriend who isn't a JW. Having fun.

Not that you want her to run wild, of course, but just to experience a normal adolescence as much as possible before she decides to "settle down".

You could say that you want her to have an education beyond high school and to have the kind of experiences growing up that you now regret that you missed out on.

They've been saying that "the end" is Right Around The Corner™ for decades now, and they'll still be saying it decades from now too. There's no urgency in her getting Baptized™. JWs will try to pressure her in that direction, even getting her JW friends to start distancing themselves from her. Be there for her and let her know that it is a tactic. Then encourage her to make friends outside the JWs so the snubbing doesn't hurt her too much. Give her as much advance warning about these potential behaviours so that she (a) won't be taken by surprise by them and (b) will grow to trust you and the advice you're giving more than she does what the JWs claim or say to her.

My brother died tonight

just got word that my youngest brother died of pancreatic cancer.

he was diagnosed in early august.

this has been really tough for me and my family..

So Are Baptisms Before The FDS Change Valid Or Not?

the baptism questions since 1985 involve agreeing to be associated with god's spirit directed organization.

it was taught that god directed the organization through the anointed remnant on earth who were know as the faithful and discreet slave.

it was claimed that getting baptized involved agreeing to follow the direction of this anointed group.. now, the governing body claims the be the faithful and discreet slave.

I don't think any Baptisms™ into the JWs are valid as they use unethical methods to procure them.

Bit of Good News

some of you know i've been down in the dark dumps.

i haven't had employment for 10 months now.

there is a bit of light at the end of the tunnel.

am i correct in stating the the "new light" is now that the gb are the the fds as opposed to the.

and is that switch because the number doesn't match and some "deranged" souls.

are now partaking at the memorial?.

Personally, I think it's just semantics.

It has been understood for a very long time that the Governing Body™ is the source of all acceptable teachings of the WTS. If anyone else taught something that contradicted what was written in the WT Literature™, even if they claimed to be of The Anointed™ / 144,000, they were liable to be accused of Apostasy™.
