How Do You Come to Terms with Being Just One of the 7 Billion?
by will-be-apostate inbeing a jw makes one feel special, no doubt.
when i found out ttatt i realized i'm not special at all.
i'm just one of the other 7 billion human beings who will live and die being nobody, the world will forget about them (and i'm not talking about relatives and friend), they didn't make anything special in their life, they didn't change the course of history, were not famous nor rich, didn't invent facebook, google or anything awesome, didn't have an article published in newscientist, had no imdb profil, not even a wiki page, didn't write a book etc.

There are some questions I have had about the JWs view "post-Armaggeddon"
by booker-t ini have always wondered how jws believe about "post-armaggeddon" earth.
question#1 how will jws survivors bury all of the dead bodies.
with about 4 billion people on earth today how can 8 million jw(1/2 of them children and babies) bury all of those dead bodies?

So the animals that are currently carnivorous will suddenly have no interest in the consumption of meat, and the birds will become ravenous flesh eaters.

the financial aid offer came in.. the first year of attending is actually cheaper than what we were going to pay at the state university after their scholarship offer.. i mean, really cheaper.. we would be fools to turn it down.. they are even flying him in for the preview week.. .

by Snoozy indo the jw's still teach that those resurrected will not marry and be without a sex?

What kid wants to sit nicely through ANY adult "seminar" with uncomfortable clothes and shoes? Do you sincerely think that a kid with this level of writing skills really has an issue with religion? We don't know what denomination of church this is, but generally mosts adherents put in an hour to an hour and a half max in 7 days... not nearly what the JW kids endure.
Shirley... I've wondered the same in reverse. Trying to imagine the opposite makes my brain hurt.
My perception of religion is open and the freedom I've always had makes me curious about what I don't know. Studying hermeneutical contrasts is fascinating to me. The notion of locking in and declaring one denomination more righteous than another seems inherently judgmental. Is that who we're supposed to be?

As an outsider, I'm going to venture to guess that the preferred brand of the GB would be "Always."
"Stayfree" would have to be an apostate-endorsed brand.

As an fyi, the three I was speaking to are very engaged.
I was talking about the growth of other denominations so there's only one reason I can come up with for being deceptive.

Carla, that's what seems odd to me. With all the prep work one has to endure, I would have thought that there'd be a line up that would be the equivalent of a graduation ceremony at one's personal congregation after the swim.
Apog: A few handshakes? Wouldn't a person be capable of providing a vague estimate?...
"let's see, I remember congratulating Brother Bob, Sister Jane, and Brother Bob's 13 year old last Summer, and Brother Alfred last Fall, so 4 maybe?"
