I watchted the Exorcist as a 12 year old Witness kid. Nothing happened. Maybe because it was the same night where I had my first glass of alcohol.

Never watchted The Ring though,.....should go and watch it now.

Public Apology Nathan Natas

i'd like to offer a public apology to nathan natas for making a wrong decision when i deleted him.. i allowed a combination of previous issues we'd had and input from other forum members to bias my decision which lead me to what i now, in hindsight, believe to have been a mistake.. whether you want to come back and post here or not i wanted to at least say sorry and will reactivate your account..

Constructive feedback for AAWA leadership (IMHO)

1 - reconsider your existence - there might be a reason why the most effective resources to date have been solo efforts.

2 - recognize that even well-intentioned organizations will firstly seek self-preservation.

3 - be aware that egos and emotional stupidity have torn apart much grander edifices than aawa.

Good, good points Randy. I think you're ideas also apply to business. I am self-employed and the more you "sell" yourself to so called "partners", the more you lose your freedom.

One question, it might be out of place, or it is even a dumb idea. Wouldn't it be better to have all the late "AAWA" related posts in one place, separate from the "main" active topics or something? I know they are active too, but this site is cluttered with AAWA this, AAWA that. I would like to get back to "regular business". Just a thought.

This whole mess was perfect. Perfect in the sense that we got to know each other better. We saw Simon taking some impressive steps. And we also showed, that it doesn't matter what everyone here believes. We don't have to be organized, uniform, or even united or even agree or "behave well, to show active witnesses or lurkers that apostates are not bad."

I TOTALLY REJECT AND REFUSE to behave "in a certain" politically correct manner, just to show that the leadership of the WT$ or the GB 2.0 is wrong if the assert things about apostates.

FACT is:

Simon: You teached my a lesson or two here. I am happy that this all happened, because otherwise we didn't have a chance to see all the different personalities "in action".

I am now much more thankful for being here.

I also miss Nathan Natas. I didn't knew there was a problem, but I would love to see him posting again. He is one of my favorite posters around here. Please come back!!!!

jgnat: I worked for over 10 years in IT and ballistic is right. There is a way to correlate data. There is one possibility that I would use, but I don't want to disclose it here as this will stay here and can be found through Google.

I would really think twice before I would post here announcing that "my cover was blown on FB and such and such thing happened". Not being paranoid, but if you value your privacy, don't create footprints!

A couple of thoughts. I've read through the whole thread.

Simon: Deep respect to the way you handled this. I am very impressed and cannot thank you enough!

Flipper: As you did with me a couple of years ago, as far as I can see, your post was the only one that offered a very human way to help and was full of empathy. You offered me the same help when I posted here the first time (under another name, not Bluepill at the time) and it resonated with me. Thank you for being YOU. You would give a wonderful elder. LOL

Sinis: I have to agree with everybody that it is up to each person how to deal with this horse manure. But I also have to say that I truly enjoyed what you have posted on this thread. I faded for years and the pain was only growing. I went cold turkey and it was hurting like hell, lost my marriage and was hurt financially, but it feels thousand times better.

Cedars: I supported you when you started the group. I defended you when the "name issue" came up. I loved your posts on this board. But THIS? Really? THIS thread and what you have posted here shows that you are not interested to help individuals and are certainly not treating people as valuable human beings that have been f**** by the WT. Sad to see how you are dropping the ball on this one. I kind of sensed that something like this would happen. Why? I've been a member of this board for over 7 years, but the dozens of discussions around AWA started to really bother me as they where creating divisions. Something that I hardly saw for the past years. Lots of negativity...

Facebook: To use FB for your activities was the most stupid idea ever. You just need to google around for 5 minutes to see that it is ABSOLUTELY unsuitable for a group like that. Let me state this with other words: Using FB for "secret anti-WT activities" is as good as recommending people to use a fishing net instead of a condom!

I absolutely hate Facebook. I've seen people breaking their real life friendships over FB shit. I've had business friends with serious problems related to identity theft because of Facebook. Myself? I had FB for 2 months and deleted the account, because someone used information about me in the most vile and malicious way you could think off. I don't even want to tell the story here, but it was very painful to get my life back!

Facebook likes things on your behalf and you don't even know it. They had cases of vegetarians "liking" MCDonalds without their knowing! Don't believe me? Google it. All kinds of stupid stuff going on with FB. I hope they disappear and go to hell!

Finally: Sic Semper Tyrannis > I am very sorry for your distress. Do whatever it takes to get your situation back under control. You can do it. Humans become unbelievable creative if the stakes are high. We are here for you. Keep your head up.

This issue shows once more that "Holy Spirit" has nothing to do with elders decisions or with the disfellowshipping process. This was one of my awakenings. I had participated in well over 50 Judicial Committees and the decisions, the whole process hit my like an iron bar - I could SEE that there was no godly intervention whatsoever. Just man-made stuff. The irregularities, injustice, the blatant twisting of facts where to clear.

People get da'ed all the time for drinking problems (my father was). Why? Because you can SEE the person babbling on the street/bar or staggering home, or vomiting (usually "proofs" that witnesses bring on in JC).

But with obesity you CANNOT prove gluttony. The WT would be hell-bent to start a flood of accusations or law suits because of discrimination offences against "sick people". They cannot prove it. "Holy Spirit" doesn't help them. Hence: not one single JC because of gluttony.

People will confess masturbation, sex, etc. because it is evident, but how do you confess gluttony?

"Brother Hounder, I ate 3 Hamburgers the other night. I felt a little full, usually I can only digest 2, please prepare a JC for me, please."

Ridiculous.

I was an elder for over 11 years and a Bethel elder for 6 - NEVER EVER was there a case for heavy eating. Although some of the Bethelites would carry TONS of food back to their rooms. No sex? EAT No drinking/smoking/drugs? EAT No Life? EAT Frustrated? EAT

There are options (well, not talking about hot latinas!) but sometimes our mind tricks us to think we are cornered, but humans are full of surprises. Maybe your gf is also out for a new start you just think that she is crying, or it might be that she is not "the last woman on the planet" for you, etc. Things never play out like we think.
