  today is the first time i was made aware of this actual elder body video.

  it's training for how a co should handle elder's whose children decide to pursue further education.

  The Elder at my hall I have the most problem with has two children in there 40s who are still pioneering while he has built as comfortable middle class life. His kids have no children, homes, careers, skills etc etc. The proverbial " Not a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out " , while he plays pretend Grandpa to the young ones.

  You watch that video and realize it was never a choice for his kids. They were pressured into doing it because his social standing in his club was more important than his own children's future.

  We have a couple elders who have children in their 40s who have no children who like to pretend they are some kind of " surrogate Grandparent " to some of the young ones in the congregation. I watch a video like this and think these people just sandbagged there own children and now they want to move on to the next generation.

  Seriously , Fuck right off.

  How the hell can anyone with an IQ over 85 be part of this religion.

  Only 10% of the population is really " Politically independent ". 45% know already they are voting Republican or Democrat.

  Chances are these people will be voting against Trump or than voting for Harris. The mid terms in the US in 2022 really showed polls don't mean much or Trump winning in 2016.

  The book of Revelation is a thinly veiled " screw you " to the Roman Empire. What you did to us, you will get 10 times worse. It is a revenge fantasy to make the first century Jews feel better.

  It almost wasn't even put in the bible because of it was considered unchristian and total nonsense. Without the trinity references " the alpha and Omega " , it would have been tossed in the waste basket.

  this thread currently has over 300 comments.. it shows a picture of an older man washing a window looking wistfully… then it talks all about how some may have doubts about not having planned and the situation they are in now that they are older, etc.

  it refers to others who did plan and who supposedly have ‘apparent’ financial security.

  in my opinion, the whole gist of this article is to make older witnesses feel better who did not pursue a career or plan well for retirement.. it tries to imply that those others who planned only have ‘apparent’ financial security - which is to say they don’t (?).

  i remember sitting through public talks where the speaker spent the hour discussing in great detail anal sex, masturbation (of yourself and others), sex during menstruation and so on.

  i was a child, looking back now, i realise that they systematically stripped away our childhood innocence, we knew and heard things no 'worldly' child would have heard.. the child abuse and grooming happened to every single one of us, the feelings of guilt and shame was in all of us even if we didn't actually do anything bad, the mental images caused by these filthy men hung around in our innocent minds till there was no room for that innocence.. it has taken me 44 years to realise that what was done to us, even those of us not physically abused, is a crime.. do they still have talks like that nowadays i wonder?
