  i think that is good.

  you get to learn a lot about people that way.

  When I was in , I really grew to dislike eschatology. Once I realized, it was nothing but opinion that really required leaps and assumptions, it really didn't mean much to me. Considering the WTS really build core theology around it, I couldn't do it anymore.

  Then Covid hit and I realized that evangelical Christians are generally assholes too. Everyone was a civil rights expert, or scientist or vaccines were the mark of the beast................it was all just as stupid as what I just came from. Trump just cut off foreign aid for poor nations today. This is who we got behind for FFS.
  

  The scary thing for me is the only religious people I found were great people are Mormons. Not discounting the book of Mormon is a work of fiction.

  I have no idea what I believe anymore.

  the new watchtower study edition is out and i have a bone to pick with the watchtower with paragraph 14 from study article 14. there we read: "we want to help clear jehovah’s name of all reproach.

  hope everyone near to the region affected in california is ok. it's shocking to hear of the destruction.

  these affected areas are some of the places i visited when i came on a tour of the us.

  malibu, santa barbera, la, santa monica, hollywood and so on..

  The real root of the problem was two years of record rainfall that made all the vegetation grow , then followed by two years of drought that dried it all out. Then throw in some weird hurricane style winds and it was all gone.

  This really isn't the time to try and score political points.

  Killing or shrinking cancer cells in a lab setting is completely different than having a therapeutic that safe for human consumption or effective. Cancer cells can be can be shrunk or killed with basic cleaners in a Petri dish.

  A form as the Joe Rogan podcast to claim stage four cancers are being reversed, is horribly responsible and will kill people. it’s almost like evolution is real and Darwin was right.

  How Do JWs Understand Salvation & What Is Needed to Obtain It?

  from my experience within the jw organization, i understood that salvation meant a person accepted the teachings of the wbts without question as the "faithful and discrete slave," thereby placing their trust in them, not jesus christ.

  salvation consisted of being found "righteous" by jehovah and resurrected to everlasting life in an earthly paradise.

  to obtain this salvation, one needed to obey the organization's teachings, remain a faithful jw, and lead a moral life.

  God sent Jesus to save the annointed remnant

  The annoited remnant is solely represented by the parable that is actually a prophecy. The magical eight.

  Though my works and obedience to 8 magical wizards , i may or may not do enough good works ( which means handing out magazines , not actually helping people ), I may or may not do enough to be saved at the big A.

  ( Unless I commit suicide , then I just get a do over ).

  That is the way I understand it.

  I just turned 50 and did my colon cancer poop on a stick screen. I recently lost a co-worker who was only 30 to it and a friend a few years ago. Hopefully if they find anything, they can cut it out of cut of me. Just a routine screening, no big deal.

  So I am looking at Facebook this morning and I see Joe Rogan and Mel Gibson and Mel is taking about he had three friends who were in stage 4 cancers and went into remission though the use of ivermectin and my bullshit detector went off. You read the comments in this tread much less these board and realize that tens of millions of people just heard that comment and will believe it and they won't screen or get treatment because they believe there is this miracle cure and they will just die a slow and painful death.

  Anywho, it is time to move past all this covid crap. Science won, idiots lost, life goes on.
