by zev inwell ok, "shunned" is really sister number 2, but peachypoof is sister number one, and the second of my sister to join the board.. she is about 18 months younger than me, and today joined us on the board.. i know when i was talking to her online, i was kinda choked up, that she was signing up with us here.
these are moments that this brother, the real brother of these two sisters of mine will never forget!.

my assault on 2 local kingdumb halls
by zev inlast night i printed out an announcement about the nbc dateline show, and a silentlambs tri-fold flyer off the website.. armed with these flyers, my motorcyle .
i went on my "mission" this morning, to hit as many windshields in the local lincoln, rhode island, and pawtucket, rhode island parking lot as possible.. i managed to hit about 20, before i noticed one of the elders driving up, i was on the street at this point, and i recognized him, and he kept taking double takes at me.
(it was norman barone, for those of you locals who might know him.

I myself have been through a divorce. I have custody of both children and their father has disapeared, wrapped up in his own life. I found a book that could help you and your daughter through this, I found it helpfull to me.

Have your prayers changed?
by eyeslice inthis is a sort of follow up to "jesus- ignored, forgotten & unemployed at wts" posted by metatron.. it strikes me, that since i have re-appraised many of my religious views that my prayers have changed significantly.
and whilst i am still an active jw, i have wondered whether my family has noticed, though they have not said anything so far.. jws prayers are not only very stereotyped (despite what jesus admonition about not using the same words, or by extension the same thoughts, over and over again) but also extremely introverted towards the watchtower society.. for example, a typical congregation prayer will include the following thoughts;.
1. bless our congregation.

My prayers have changed............ I pray when I want to, and I no longer pray to Jehovah or Jesus, I pray to God and talk to him as if he was a friend. I have over the years learned that it doesn't matter what you say or how you say it, it must be your thoughts and from your heart. I now pray for things of interest in my life. i.e. other people in my life, for others I don't know and for things like cures for horrible illnesses.

PICTURES- of my new nephews, TWINS!

twins they were.....though i cannot tell you at the moment if identical or fraternal.. best part is every one came home ok and in great health.. they were 3 weeks early, and weighted about 5.5 lbs.. names are mexican????
i think.... unai, and esai.. (don't quote me on the names, i am really bad with that stuff!).

Overheard this at last meeting...JW's: No idea!!!
by TheApostleAK inoverheard a small group (elders, ms, pioneers etc) complaining about the church in adelaide called the paradise community church (recently featured in the advertiser and has ads on tv).
they started discussing it and one asked "what have they got they we don't have????
"....which was followed with a lot of head-shaking and head-scratching.. ever heard of freedom guys???.

Ok, here is something to really make you go Hmmmmmmm! When I went to the think they call a hall, they would lock up the stuff they call literture (liter). If the locked that crap up why didn't they lock up the stuff that was worth something (i.e. mics). They hung on the back of the stage wall in plan view. Any homeless person would rather take that than to be bored to sleep with the crap they publish!!!
