  i've been recently reinstated & am very happy about it.

  i do love righteous (love & justice) and i do hate wickedness ( selfishness & sin).

  i do love jehovah and the bible truths & wisdom.

  Fading is better then completely leaving...comments?

  i got the internet in my house and realised it's all lies....but as a pioneer/ministerial servant i chose to fade.

  see i had family and friends who were fully strict witnesses.

  so i played the poor lost soul brother who is not sure what's happening.

  Conscription FEARS to END? Jehovah's Witnesses in EUROPE?

  as the clouds of war are gathering fast over the european continent many countries including britain are contemplating a return to conscription and some form of mandatory military service.

  considering the fact that the watchtower fought long and hard especially in europe for the right of its believers to abstain from military service it is very interesting to see how this new development will affect the watchtower across europe.

  JW-God's channel of communication

  the faithful slave is considered god's channel of communication.

  ( though not inspired of god ) does anyone else find the use of the word channel interesting in this regard?

  from where i am sitting it denotes spiritism.

  Sue , l am sorry to hear that you feel so depressed about life. I'm a never JW but like most on here l don't believe that going back will help .

  You say that you can't talk to a counsellor because it would give a bad impression of the org . Doesn't that tell you all you need to know ? It means that the org IS bad .

  Earlier l saw your post about other churches and found it hard to take in . I was going to be rather forthright in my reply. Reading your comments on here l realise that it wouldn't have been right.

  I have been a member of my local church for many years ( Anglican, Church of England) . I truly think that if you had gone to other churches you would have found friends, non judgemental , loving friends .

  We do study the Bible in home groups and our services aren't just about music and a couple of feel good verses .Though l think that you really need those right now.

  You say that there is no real direction given ( I'm paraphrasing now )

  That, l suspect, is the crux of the matter. You seem to miss the regimented approach of the WT . Like someone leaving the army who can't cope with not being told what to do .

  Counselling will help with that , so l go back to my earlier point of giving a bad impression. Maybe you are scared of the impression that you will make on your self .

  Please try it and embrace where it takes you . There are lots of Christians out there waiting to be your friends

  I sort of get why people choose to fade but are you ever free ? You can't celebrate birthdays or Christmas if you want to . Can you have worldly friends? It seems like the Watchtower still kinda runs your life

  I may be wrong about what you can actually get away with, but l am curious as to how much of a hold the Org does still have on you .

  Do people who have made a clean break feel a sense of relief that they are free to live their lives as they wish ?

  Does that outweigh the fact that some family and friends no longer talk to them ?

  i have been watching a youtube creator who had some thoughts on the subject, bringing out jw were not really christian, based upon their actions.

  he made a pretty good case.

  Acts 2 verses 42-47 are interesting in many ways .

  Verse 45 says

  " they sold property and possessions to give to any who had need "

  So love and charity are much in evidence here among the early believers.

  Now most Christians today don't go that far but do support charities which are organised to help " those in need " worldwide.

  Most campaign for governments and councils to act fairly to people and provide support to those who need it

  Of course Witnesses are only allowed to donate money to the Org. for who knows what purpose.

  They aren't allowed to participate in "politics " so can't hold those in power to account

  Those verses also say that believers met together daily to break bread . Which would indicate that they celebrated the Lord's Supper . So the Org are wrong about that as well.

  the bible does not say that god does not want to lie, but that he cannot lie or it is impossible for god to lie.

  .

  so, if god cannot lie, for what purpose and why did he create creatures (satan, demons, humans) who can lie?.
