  but how do you save real money???.

  birthday party

  we had my little girls first birthday party yesterday, and in my head i knew nothing was wrong with it.

  but i was still not comfortable, i still felt like i was doing something wrong, until i looked at my little girl and seen how happy she was, the smile on her face, for the first time in her life so many people was there just for her.

  at that point, i knew nothing was wrong with it, once a year a person should be treated that way, helps your self worth.

  I was thinking of having a b-day party for my little girl! I was talking to a friend of mine and he said I should really "do it up" for her!

  She'll be one pretty soon and I was thinking of having a cake and seeing her smush her hands all in it!

  ok, it's been four years for me since i left the jws.

  i have been so busy trying to recover from the blow of leaving and losing friends, religion, a social group etc., that i haven't considered (too much) about what's next.

  i mean, i've tried to be open minded and listen to other people's beliefs hoping that somewhere/sometime/something would click.

  ive not been so angry for a long time.. the watchtower article entitled jehovah hates the course of treachery in the may 1st 2002 issue is a masterpiece of bullshit.

  there are so many points in it i feel that i should make more than one thread.. in this thread i will deal with the issue of marriage discussed from paragraph 13 onwards.

  paragraph 15 warns against marrying an unbeliever and confirms the societys view that only jehovahs witnesses will survive armageddon, so why bother marrying someone who will die soon?.

  I know more worldly marriages where the spouses are truly "best friends"!

  My husband I had soooooooo many talks about this. It would disGUST me to go to the assemblies and DC's and see such FAT FAT FAT people. And then there are absolutely no talks about controlling themselves.

  I used to be friends with an extremely heavy woman who blamed her weight on a bad back and diabetes. As I got to know her, I saw her order candy, cakes and other foods thru the mail. I saw her go out to dinner and eat. And to top it off, she said ALL FOOD TURNS TO SUGAR so it didn't matter what she ate. She was a diabetic, for Pete's sake. She has a retarded, blind, mute, son who will have to be cared for by others when she dies prematurely.

  And no one says a thing to her..... not one thing.

  The bible condemns gluttons just as much as fornicators and murderers, yet that subject is never talked about. (And its true, one can be skinny and be a glutton === some people binge on things or just pig out in such a disgusting way even tho they aren't fat per se)

  Its ok for them because they are not disfellowshipped!!! LOL

  I have met so many JW's in my life that have been involved in such depraved behavior yet my experience as a former Catholic is that my friends were very upright and conscientious. I had a group of friends that I could trust. I had friends houses that I could drop by, I could go to parties and see my friends, or regular restaurants and know all the people.

  It seems to me that all the sisters with unbelieving mates seem to have the more normal lifestyles!

  Man Stuck in Windshield Left to Die

  fort worth a judge on friday raised bond to $250,000 for a nurse's aide charged with murder after a homeless man she hit died in her garage with his body lodged in her car's windshield.. chante j. mallard, 25, had been released on $10,000 bail after she was arrested wednesday.

  but at a bond hearing friday, prosecutors said that amount was too low.. state district judge james r. wilson raised the amount and said ms. mallard must be under house arrest, wear an electronic monitor, continue counseling, avoid alcohol and undergo drug testing.

  the judge also imposed a gag order in the case.. ms. mallard was charged with murder this week in the slaying of gregory glenn biggs, 37, a former fort worth school bus driver whose body was found dumped last october at cobb park on fort worth's south side.. "it truly is one of the most bizarre things i have ever seen," said fort worth police lt. david burgess, a supervisor in the traffic division.

  I think this is really gross!!

  They said all over the news that this really typifies "man's inhumanity to man"!!

  She apparently would go out and talk to him during the 3 days he was impaled in her windshield and that her friends knew he was out there! I cannot believe the horror that this man endured. He was a homeless man, so noone had even reported him missing.
