  How do we learn to really trust?

  having been betrayed by the jehovahs witnesses - both the organisation and the individuals who now shun us - how do we learn to trust again?.

  i ask this because i have realised that i dont trust anyone.

  it goes beyond a healthy mistrust of strangers...it affects my closest relationships.

  i just had to post a new topic after discovering even more pagan practices that the watchtower has allowed.

  please read the jws can celebrate christmas thread, where i have posted my evidence that the watchtower allows pagan decorations and now more information about them allowing pagan customs in other ways.. here is an excerpt from my most recent find (bold added.

  when a jw tells you christmas is pagan, therefore you shouldnt celebrate it, you can refer them to this article.

  it is discussing wallpaper and other home decorations and what sorts are acceptable.. *** g76 12/22 14 are they idolatrous decorations?

  so the christian needs to be primarily concerned about what?

  some of you may remember that when i joined this forum i was having problems at home regarding the un issue.

  everything appears to have settled down now and i promised my mum that i wouldnt mention it again to her.

  however, looking back at the events around that time, i feel that the circuit overseer not only made it difficult for me, but also for my mother.

  i have a jw friend who said to me "i'd be interested to know if there are any other religions that teach what jws teach".

  after the post on "food for thought" which gave details of modern day bible students, i thought i'd ask the question:.

  what religions are there that either have similar roots to the jw religion, or that have similar teachings?
