More failed JW chronology
by Jeffro inive just been reviewing my timeline of the divided jewish monarchy and the neo-babylonian period.
i decided to check for correlations of egyptian and assyrian rulers mentioned in the bible that i had not previously considered at all (much less tried to make fit a particular year).
i was happy (though unsurprised) that no adjustments were required.. pharaoh tirhakah (taharqa) (2ki 19:8, 9; isa 37:8, 9) insight (volume 2, page 1109) claims the years assigned to him by historians must be wrong.

Challenge to you prophets - can you meet it?
by punkofnice ini challenge anyone that can accurately predict events by reading the bible or your prophetic book of choice, to give me a specific date when something will happen so i can watch for it!.
give us the date here (not a pm) and tell us what will happen.. let there be no excuses!
no get out clauses of ''it doesn't work that way'' or similar.

I predict 8 older men (well maybe 7 and one youngish man) living in luxury in Brooklyn will NOT go out on service midweek...instead they will gather around a table (with cosy luxury seats remember!) and talk giberish.
This will occur every week...

If the Governing Body are the Faithful and Discreet Slave, Could the Governing Body all die at once?
by Eustace ini'm thinking that if all the governing body members all died at once, it would disprove this whole "the governing body are the faithful and discreet slave" business once and for all.. the faithful and discreet slave, according to watchtower teaching, will continue to exist into the time of the end.
so if the governing body all die at once, that means they ain't the faithful and discreet slave.. they need more youngish gb members quick!.

Blondie...that article is great and did say that some anointed WOULD be on hand at the Big A and then they would be taken to heaven....BUT the nu-lite says that ALL of the anointed will be taken up DURING the GT and before the Big A...blowing the article you just quoted as old-(s)lite...

@jwfacts..in 1919 Jehoove rappointed them over His domestics but it is a future incident, right before the big A and during the GT that they get appointed over the belongings...but your question still stands...why? The only reason seems to be the timing mentioned in the illustration/prophecy/parable/madeupcrap

But the anointed need to be on earth during the GT so that it is cut short and the big A comes...if the anointed go to heaven during the GT then what about the scripture that says on the account of the chosen ones the big A starts?
They are just making this stuff up...

Expressing their disbelief and doubts Lars? I think they go well beyond that, they actually prove referring to examples in nature and science to back up their belief...these men use sound logic and reasoning to prove theor points...you may want to try and emulate that as did Christ did 2,000 years ago...

Some dummy questions for JWs

jehovah or his organization?.
2. if you listen to jehovah, how does he speak to you?.

How about this question...
Is it possible for a true prophet to be directed by God’s Spirit and yet is not inspired by God’s Spirit?
To say there is a difference in being "Inspired" and being "directed" by Holy Spirit will not stand in any reasonable discussion...

A quote from Don Cameron's excellent Captives to a Concept book:
A Spirit-Directed, Uninspired True Prophet?
Here is another example of how faulty reasoning eventually catches up with those who try to force the Bible to uphold
their illusion…
The Governing Body does not deny that the organization claims to be, or acts as God’s prophet.109 What they do
deny is that they are inspired.110 Somewhere along the way someone came up with the idea that it’s all right to put God’s name on their teachings and prophecies as long as they don’t claim to be inspired. But this causes a problem that they apparently haven’t noticed yet. According to the
Bible there are only two kinds of prophets:
• True Prophets
• False Prophets
True prophets are inspired by God. False prophets are
not…
• Inspired true prophets
• Uninspired false prophets
But the Watchtower’s religious leaders have created a third kind of prophet that is a mixture or combination of both a true prophet and a false prophet…
Added to this is the fact they also claim to be “God’s spirit-directed organization.” Therefore, when you add up all the things they do and don’t claim to be, they end up a kind prophet that has never before existed. They now have an illusionary Spirit-directed, uninspired true prophet to go along with their illusionary God’s organization.
