  What's a Good Question to Ask at the Door?

  the jws haven't been to my door for a while, but i don't doubt that they'll turn up eventually*.

  (i saw easter eggs in the supermarket yesterday, so "memorial" season is fast approaching 🙄).

  what's a good question to ask, to get the ball rolling?.

  What I ask is: "How do you reconcile the fact you are told to be obedient to the faithful slave in all they say and even if in the future they say things that seem strange from a human standpoint and that they can be wrong in doctrine and policy"?

  See them squirm with that one.

  jehovah’s witnesses boast that theirs is a “spirit-directed organization”.. see w88 3/1 pp.

  10-17 (my life in jehovah’s spirit-directed organization).

  they believe that their deceased founder, charles taze russell (who faced legal action by his wife for inappropriate behavior in his maids bedroom), is directing the modern-day work of jehovah’s witnesses.. after the founder, c t russell died, it was stated that he was still directing the work from heaven.. "though pastor russell has passed beyond the veil, he is still managing every feature of the harvest work.

  i was listening to a lunchtime call in radio show about jws and the personal experiences of being disfellowshiped, and a former elder called in saying he was disfellowshiped for asking about jws and their involvement in the un in the 1990s ,and he just said look it up.. thinking that it was a made up lie ,so i looked it up and it was true even a letter confirming it from the un itself and that led me here and to jwfacts and further research into the history and teachings of jw and walked out the door about 5 years ago.

  607 BCE is not the destruction of Jerusalem. Once I researched it and fully debunked the nonsense the WT believes the whole house of cards falls down.

  607 not true...1914 not true...1919 not true...FDS appointed is now just their own interpretation and therefore no "god" is directing the GB and everything they say is not directed or inspired...something they now admit.

  607 being wrong was the key for me.

  you would have had to qualify as an elder previously.

  this would mean the male would have had to have been an elder in his early 20's.

  I had a relative who became a CO and Branch Overseer very young in his late 20s after graduating from Gilead.
  He was removed in his mid-30s.

  Funny I know of a same experience.

  Brother elder at 24 then temp CO at 29. He broke himself at 35 and ended up leaving and coming out as gay.
