Witnesses Just Tried to Have Me Arrested!!!!
by Reborn2002 inwell, i just got home and im piping madd.. im laughing about it as well though because i outsmarted them at their own game and got a rant off my chest.. heres what happened.
an acquaintance i used to go to the hall with.. who is also 3 years younger than me asked me for money about 6 months ago.. at the time, i loaned him $50 to get the tires on his car fixed.
in that time period, not only did he move out of his parents house to an undisclosed location because he decided to stop going to the kh.. but i also da myself in that time frame.. due to the fact he moved out, i havent been able to reach him.. i tried calling his parents home to discover his current location or at least to tell them if he contacts them, to be sure to have him reach me because he owes me money.. no response.

blondie, et al...
Here's my biggest issue with what was written in the article:
"We paid quite a bit of money to them (the Mexican label)," David Harrington says. "It looks like we paid for something they stole. We got ripped off, too." Harrington said all four Kronos members plan to take up a collection and help Carlos out (his wife needs a cataract operation).
How come his spiritual brothers haven't come to his aid? How come his fellow believers aren't taking up a collection? Why can't the WTS throw a few bucks to this man to help him and his wife? I betcha that he donates a portion of what little money he does earn to the WTS. What a crooked and greedy

NFL Playoffs: Week-By-Week Predictions
by Funchback inso, here are my first round playoff predictions (as if any of you care...lol!
colts 23, jets 15 (the jets had their super bowl vs. the packers).
packers 21, falcons 17 (i have a hunch that atlanta may pull the upset but you can't root against the pack at lambeau).

Steelers 27, Browns 21 (The 'Stillers' storybook fantasy will not end this week).
Giants 17, 49ers 14 (This is the hardest one to try to pick. The Giants have momentum but the Niners have Terrell Owens back AND home field advantage. But, the 49ers have looked flat lately).

Ah! Finally there is a thread that represents my hometown and my favorite team! (GO EAGLES!).
In the "Superbowl" thread, I said:
Here's how everything should pan out in week 17 for the NFC: The Packers have not been impressive during their last six games, despite going 4-2. They go into a hostile Meadowlands this Sunday against a desperate New York Jets team. The Jets will win by at least 10 points. (Was I dead-on with this prediction, or what???)
However, I also said:
The Eagles face the same exact scenario the day before except they will play the Giants. Unlike the Pack, however, the Eagles have looked impressive in their last six games (all wins and five straight with their back-up QBs, including 4 straight with their third stringer QB). The Eagles will win this game by 4. It will be an ugly, low scoring affair. (I got the winner wrong but I was correct with the other stuff. I guess I let my biasness with the Birds make my prediction for an Eagle win).
Atlanta will lose @ Cleveland (Right on, again!). New Orleans will win at home vs. Carolina (Dead wrong with this prediction). Thus, Atlanta and New Orleans will be going to the Playoffs (Half right, half wrong). Regarding Tennessee, they are on a tear right now and they are ticked that they have no one going to the Pro Bowl. They are on a mission (Still right withthis one). I just think that Oakland is the most experienced team in the AFC and it appears as though Deon Sanders will be joining them for the Playoffs. Still, Deon may not be a major factor. (Turns out that San Diego played their politics card and blocked the Deon signing with Oakland).
Clarification: If the Packers lose and the Bucs win, then the Bucs will regain the first round bye and Green Bay will have to host the Wild Card game. The Bucs are going into Chicago to play a very bad Bears team. The temperature will be well under 40. Look for the Bucs to finally snap their drought of not winning in the cold (Got it right!). So, the Bucs WILL get the first round Bye. Green Bay will host the Wild Card. (Got this one right, too!)
My apologies to the NY Giants and any of you Giants fans for thinking that they would not make the Playoffs.

Watch: I'll probably get them all wrong! LOL!
Okay, folks. I'm starting another thread for week-by-week predictions. Feel free to add your scores and reasonings to the list.

advice giving
by yumbby init's really amazing the changes you go through getting away from the "troof".. things you didn't even know affected you.
like compulsive advice giving.
did you ever notice that witnesses are conditioned to have an answer for everything???

I agree with how you feel. The WTBTS give answers for everyhing, from how to floss your teeth without causing bleeding to how to fly a kite under water. They get on my nerves with that.
Good topic you started here, yumbby.

Did anybody get The Bell?
by Nickey induring the thocratic school during our tuesday meetings, i dreaded hearing the bell.
*ding* someone had run over 5 minutes and had to cut their talk short.. this part always disturbed me.
nevermind the fact that these people worked hard to prepare their talk about something they felt was worthwhile, they have to be humiliated and cut off in front of the whole congregation.

JW's come knocking on Christmas
by DIM inwell, after 10 months, the jw's finally came knocking on my apartment - on christmas day!
in my head, i was going to debate with them, maybe even reason with them.....what actually happened is that for some reason, all of the emotional things inside of me came to the fore and i waited until they were leaving my apartment, i opened up my door, grabbed the tract, crumpled it into a ball, threw it at them and rattled off a string of profanities (which i won't repeat here, out of respect for simon's rules).
i was really mad at myself for doing this, but at the same time it provided an immense cartharsis for me.

Good one, heathen!
I forgot to also mention that the 'Do Not Call' list is a crock. Why? Because two elders usually work the DNC's every 6 months. Why? Because the householders' circumstances may have changed.
Sooooo... 'Do Not Call' doesn't really mean 'do not call'.
