  Victory...the reward for patience!

  many years ago when i first came upon boards like this i wanted to know how to cope with my new status as an exjw.. in particular i was concerned with how to handle my still devout jw wife and three children.. i was given a lot of advice some potentially harmful, like leave your wife but many recommended patience.. that was ten years ago.

  over the next decade i allowed my wife to take our children to all the meetings and inculcate them however she wished.

  i knew it was a risk but i did not want to appear to be the stereotypical opposing mate and reinforce jw propaganda.. my plan was this:.

  i am primarily a lurker here, but i feel compelled to post today.

  i have been soul searching for a while now, and trying to come to terms with who i am, and what i believe.

  this forum has been immensley helpful to me and my recovery from the wtbts, and i appreciate everyone of you for contribution to my process of moving on.

  I think that the most romantic dates are usually the least expensive ones...
  Like a picnic,
  or taking a walk... things like that..
  I actaully am still thinking about what my dream date would be...

  Hangin' On The Telephone.................Yeah!

  its funny how a phone call from a poster can instantly change ones perception of that person.

  i suppose that we all have a mental picture of how other members look and talk, so the reality of a phone conversation with a jwd member can be very interesting indeed.

  What is the crappiest job you have ever had?

  for me it was when i was living in mexico and i got a job as a waiter out of sheer boardom.

  the pay was lousy, the work was hard, the boss was an asshole, and at the end of the week i was told that i was not good enough to be a waiter and i was fired.

  wiping old people's asses, and putting in suppositories...
  seperating old people having sex...
  dressing old men that are turned on
  seeing an old woman go down on an old man, when his depend is down around his ankles
  seeing an old woman bent over her walker getting it from behind...

  lifting old womens boobies to wash underneath of them..

  it was nasty.. and I will never do it again...

  Grandfather died

  and now there is a debate between my father and his sister whether there should be a memorial service at the kingdom hall.. is there a rule whereby an elder who gives a memorial service at a kingdom hall must use the society's outline?

  because my father and my grandmother have made it quite clear that he under no circumstances do they want that.

  (i'm very blessed to have jw family who do not shun me even with the long hair (yes it is growing back), earring, and, oh yeah, disfellowshipment).
