Hi pete.
You know a lot of surface noise is caused by worn bearings or cartridge and incorrect setup , and static .
If you take care of your records you shouldn't have much noise unless they are already damaged.
I was thinking of making somebackups , imagine what some of these records will be worth in 20 or 30 years time when the'll be even rarer.

by sleepy inanyone here into vinyl?.
no this is nothing pervy.. i'm in a musical mood today and one of my passions is buying records.. (not collecting records as i actually buy them to listen to).
i still buy records on vinyl rather than cd when i can, the packaging is much better and if you have a good record player so is the sound.. it getting hard to find much nowadays in a lot of record stores.. theres an excellent record shop near me though that stocks a ton of the stuff.now wheres all my wages gone?

You've got some serious stuff there.
What record player do you use?
I've got a slightly modified LP12 with Wilson Benesh arm .
I'm getting a Dynavector cartridge tomorrow as my Goldring is gong rought.
I'm looking for new speakers, but havent found anything good yet to replace my Epos es14's.
My rooms not too big so it limits choice a bit. -

No we need a double agent?
by sleepy ini was thinking (it does happen)that we often hear rumors like so and so of the gb said this or that la la.. what we need is a double agent to work for us in getting info out of brooklyn.. ok i know the job wont be great or glamourous and would require long hours listening and agreeing to a lot of crap, saying yes rather a lot, knocking on peoples doors and all that.. but think how you could help the ex-jw cause.. any volunteers?.
and if anyone in bethal is reading this and knows the truth is tit , don't leave bethal , stay.. we need you there.get some info and documents out for us, and some tasty gossip, photos would help.

Wow two rooms.I've only got about 300 records and about 450 CD's (I went through a CD buying phase)but I'm trying to stock up a lot more as it gets harder to find.
Are you just into records or hifi as well?

Sloppy typo in the Watchtower.
by Nemesis ini was just wondering if this typo is in the us version also?
its in the 1 may 2002 watchtower p.31 on the far right block of text on the seventh line down:.
and members of the great crowd are not in the inner courtyard of jehovahs great spiritual temple, which courtyard represents the condition of prefect, righteous human sonship ot the members of jehovahs holy priesthood while they are on earth.. i know its just a small typo, but i have never seen a mistake like this before [to my memory] in the watch towers literaturehas anyone else?.

I've noticed some typos in watchtower articles,
They must have slipped onto the wrong keys when they wrote these ones,"millions now living will never die"
"You can live for ever in paradise on earth"
"A mature christian ....does not harbour private ideas when it comes to bible understanding"
"The generation that saw 1914 will not pass away before armageddon"
