  Anyone Feeling the Holiday Spirit Yet??

  i know every year it seems to come earlier and eariler............ yet must admit ......... this week on my 3 am ride to work i'm listening to x-mas songs on the radio instead of zeppelin................. and smiling............... tis the season............. and haven't had turkey yet!!!

  In need of advice

  yet another visit from jw's at our door, demanding to speak to only my husband and claiming to be friends of "his family".

  it has reached the point that i contacted the sherriff's department and was informed to sent a certified letter to the local kingdom hall.. dh hasn't been a "witness" since his teen years.

  i had a falling out with the in-laws (avid jw's) over them hitting our daughter while we were on vacation visiting them.

  You have a choice..make plans to get out ..or stay and suffer 75 % of the time..It doesn't sound like you and your feelings are being respected but merely tolerated.

  It doesn't get any better when you are married to a JW or they are strongly attached to their JW family.

  I stayed and was miserable even tho I loved him to death..Now that he has passed away I can see how abused I was in many ways by hubby and his mom and sister. ( All JW's)
  No one should be allowed to say the hurtful things they (JW's) can say and get away with it. It's up to you if you want to put up with it or not.

  I am sympatetic to what you are going through but remember we all determine our own happiness. Don't complain if others mistreat you and disrespect you and you allow it.

  Unless you want to be like the woman in the Feb Magazine they just put out and let them wipe their feet on you so to speak...

  JW comment on my facebook newspage turns my stomach..

  trying to figure out why..this is in reference to the small boy that was abducted and killed today.

  why doe they think it is their duty to turn it into a witness..this person usually posts about how great things were when she was a teen and hanging out and how she wishes she could go back to those fun times.. posts various you tubes with oldies and once in a great while she breaks from it all and posts how great jehovah is..then she goes back to all her worldly facebook friends..i really can't stomach hypocrites!.

  Are You Afraid To Die Alone?

  i know of someone that is concerned that she will be all alone when she dies.. are you afraid to die alone??

  Same here rebel..after watching so many of my relatives die I see what pain and torment they can go through..When someone dies in their sleep they usually suffer a lot beforehand. My daughter says her father in law went peacefully but she is forgetting the 2 years he suffered trying to get a breath when there wasn't any..gasping for air..that's what emphesema does to you.

  Heart disease , your heart slowly dies and your kidneys and then you fill with water in your lungs and slowly quit breathing..usually getting pnemonia.
  Cancer, well my mom went out of her head the last two weeks and gasped and reached for us when she died.
  My fil had bone cancer and he died in a nursing home as my MIL could no longer take care of him. He could be heard screaming when you walked in the home to visit him..

  When hubby was dying he covered his head with a sheet.Hospice said that some do that because they are preparing a place where they will be oging. ??? The cancer had filled his liver and he itched constantly from the built up bile in his system..towards the end he couldn't drink and his mouth was so dry he could hardly breath..that is one reason I would hate to have a medical release for treatment towards the end..if he was in a hospital he could have had a IV and it wouldln't have been so miserable for him. But he wanted to die at home. I would never ever again recommend that to anyone. He died in his sleep..but not without suffering a lot first.

  With all this I would still, knowing I would die shortly, want to be alone..nothing worse than someone wanting to carry on a conversation when you are trying to die peacefully..

  BTW, I had the widowmaker and didn't even know it..All I had was a squeezing in both my arms..I was alone watching my daughters dogs while they were in California..I called my own ambulance, got up and opened the front door for the EMT's I had just called.. Locked the dogs up and made sure they had water..Oh yeah, I also took a shower..lol

  Is anyone else getting ready for Christmas?

  i was in the mood today... got the tree cheap (came w/lights), decorations and ribbon for half price and made the bow myself to save money.

  i was going to put it aside until after thanksgiving, but couldn't resist completing the project.

  i just have to get some fiber fill for "snow" at the base.

  that their bible is different from any bible anyone else reads in that it has added the name jehovah to the new testament greek scriptures??

  when it is not there in any ancient manuscript????

  i mean they put it there where it aint quoted at all....like all 12 times in revelation....i mean how can they not have a problem with that???

  They swear their bibles aren't any different. They also explain that the name Jehovah is put in where others left it out. They also use that excuse when adding other words. It's supposed to be there but someone in past bibles left it out, we just put it back in. Or they say someone else misinturpreted the verse and they corrected it.

  They have an answer for everthing..it not they make one up..

  a few years ago my 21 yr old firstborn and only son died in an accident.

  i was an active jw at the time.

  in fact , i was at the meeting when it happened.

  My hubby was a JW..his Mom constantly told him and he repeated it to me many times that "He should not worry, (Because I wouldn't go back) that Jehovah will make him forget me and will give him a lovely new wife in the new system..."

  I think he was really looking forward to it..

  Too bad he didn't make it and now is not eligible to remarry ..(according to their teachings of resurrected can't marry.)
