  i don't understand we went thru a phase where we down played the generation so now it's the generation that knew the 1914 generation???

  is that correct?

  A word of caution, just don't ask a current PIMI JW to explain t to you. I've tried. They haven't got a fu$$en clue, and quickly gravitate to accusing you of lacking faith or being an 'apostate'!

  As pioneer i updated "do not call lists" dangerous mission!!

  as a brave or dumb pioneer i took the dangerous mission to update the people who were do not call...by calling on them!

  some had moved one house was now a used car yard some orthodox greeks some people had family members who died refusing blood i almost got punched afew times i was abused alot..one woman went to throw rocks at me...a man threaren me with a shovel what a hero i was...or a dumb ass bothering people.

  i would ask if they still felt the same way and they would tell me to #@#@ off!.

  Years ago I was asked to do this when I was a Min Servant - I said I would not go alone, but take someone in case any one kicked off.

  The elder said that was not allowed - I instantly declined the 'privilege'...

  but in some homes tensions linger long past checkmate.

  chess has been a game of war since it was originated 1,400 years ago....the games connections with war are obvious...a play-substitute for the art of war.

  I was in the school chess team for five years. My elder father didn't seem to mind.

  I was in the school football team too - again I got no flack about that, Lucky I guess.

  I think it's all about control - they don't want you doing ANYTHING outside their mind numbing, repetitive brainwashing sessions.

  he asked why we have them over for dinner....we are not disfellowshiped just faded away so we can still have dinner with witness friends now we have known for 10 years.

  alot of "faders" do same.

  you might listen to afew dumb scriptures from them but still friends..

  I found that over time, the hardcore JW friends I had couldn't handle any doubt cast on their beliefs

  This is one of the things I really really dislike about the jw religion - why can't they just admit that their 'leaders' do not have a telephone line to God and make it all up as they go along??

  SPIMI Friend Asked Me For The Name Of My (FORMER) Congregation

  a present-spimi friend texted me to ask me the name of my congregation--which is my former and last one that i left right after becoming completely/presently pomo.

  she was a longtime buddy, who was pimq-pimo-ppimi-on-occasion for many decades.

  then shortly before the pandemic, she was dating a brother who was reaching out to become an ms [mind you, this guy was a mic-handler for several decades as well--until an older brother (who was a close friend of his uncle--who converted him into the cultporation years ago--encouraged him to the point of harrassing him to move up the wt corporate ladder🙄😤].

  I would perhaps ignore the question and carry on the relationship as if the question had never been asked.

  Then if she asks again in the future, you know your friend has some sort of agenda.

  If like myself you have never signed the contact form asking permission to store your personal details (around 2018??) I'm not sure what the congregation could do about you anyway?
