  Are adjustable rate mortgages the norm in the UK?

  perhaps an odd subject for a presumably religious focused discussion board, but there are a fair number of brits here... i'm an american, but i sometimes listen to the podcast of the james o'brien radio show.

  (a brit political radio show where people call in).

  the past few months, a common topic has been people calling in discussing how hard they are getting hit financially because of a dramatic rise in interest rates on their mortgage.

  We are now seeing globally inflation in the things we need (food, energy and resources) and deflation in the things we have (property, stocks and investments)

  the stock market is going down which means most people’s pension and other investments are going down. Property is crashing in many places around the world.

  here in the UK house prices are falling by about £1000 per week.

  average house prices in the UK have now fallen by £26K in the last 26 weeks and will continue to fall.

  people are getting poorer. Of course in the congregation we often hear isn’t it wonderful to follow direction not to get advanced education and have lots of investments that are all going down now.

  the problem is Borg do not follow their own advice. They have invested heavily in property around the world which is all crashing now, and they invested in the stock market which is also going down.

  as the financial crisis worsens the donations will get less as JDubs struggle to pay the bills and put food food on the table because most of them are uneducated cleaners

  Hailstones?

  when i was interested in things jw two decades or so ago, i never came across these mentions of hailstones.

  it crops up so often now that it's almost a meme!

  when did it become a thing in jw speak, and what does it refer to?.

  Yes we noticed it in the October broadcast. The young brother put his jacket over the cart to hide JW when police walked past. Then the older brother had some long winded words and all is well the young brother takes his jacket off uncovering the JW logo.

  I didn’t hear the words hailstone message or even judgement message but then I wasn’t really listening. Did they actually say that or just imply it?

  last few years they keep pushing this hailstone message that Will basically be going round telling everyone it’s too late there is nothing you can do you should have listened to us! Yeah that sounds like a sensible doctrine from reading Rev 16🤣

  Normally I would pity someone who has messed up their life so much as Lloyd has done. But after watching Kim’s latest video it’s clear now he is so arrogant and showed no remorse or apology betraying his wife and daughters in such a horrible manner.

  Then to ignore the fact that the prostitution he is buying could be from girls who were trafficked. He seems to think as long as they tell him they are not underage that is a guarantee that they are over 18.

  I can’t believe that he thinks it’s ok to date a sex worker. Like as if she was genuinely interested in him and nothing to do with donated funds he was paying her.

  How is he going to afford to keep paying these sex workers now that the patrons have decided to stop funding his atrocious behaviour

  i remember reading about this guy in a national newspaper in 2010 after he had had his trial for child sex abuse.

  porter avoided prison, despite being guilty of some acts child abuse.. the local elders defended him and were on his side and didn't df him, from what i remember.

  then after an outcry porter was was df'd, and i think sent to prison.. anyone up-to-date on this?.

  Apparently he had at least one child with his wife maybe more. Was that after he got out of prison or was it just before he went in?

  If he is not allowed near children how does that work?

  many end up making a proper mess of their lives perfectly exemplified by lloyd evans.. yet on the other hand for those leaving the cult it is only ex members of the cult who could ever understand what they are going through .

  Stan what do you mean about females and their health problems?

  I hear most sisters out of the 8million plus took the toxic vaccines. All females who take the shots have menstrual problems and lower fertility after each shot is affecting both males and females.

  The sperm donned in London will now pay £200 per shot of sperm that meets their high standards and the more shots you had the less chance of not firing blanks.

  but it makes me think if the gov body are still pushing these vaccines then the birth rate among JWs will fall significantly

  there is already a problem retaining young ones in the cult. And now there will be less born ins if everyone took the shots

  everyone wants to be part of a community to have a sense of belonging and you lose this once you are shunned by those still in the cult.

  Here in London there is a lot of talk about gangs and how young men want to be a part of a community who understands them so they join a gang but the gangs are full of broken people and then I heard the quote “broke people can’t help broke people” it struck a cord with me thinking about all the ex JWs who are now looking for a community to fit in again now they have lost their last one and they are being shunned

  you really need someone who is not broken but understands how you are feeling

  And that is the hard part
