i've been recently reinstated & am very happy about it.

i do love righteous (love & justice) and i do hate wickedness ( selfishness & sin).

i do love jehovah and the bible truths & wisdom.

That was the case in the past but things have changed to such an extent now.

In congregations that we are familiar with most of us feel we love the Bibles promises and certainly have hope that they have some truth to them.

We so want the Bibles promises to be true and talk as if we have no doubt but we all do have doubts about JW interpretations.

These days JWs are openly talking about 1914 is probably not true, birthdays doctrine may have new light soon and shunning will have an updated understanding ect.

As long as you can’t be accused of causing division in the congregation then you can openly express doubts about the governing body.

The vaccine is the best example of this as now most people know that it was not safe or effective which means the governing body got it wrong and they were the ones causing divisions as they should have stayed neutral

I had this thought: if you have to pretend to be something you are not in order to have friends

Jwlite is not pretending to be something you are not. You can be honest with select ones that you love the Bibles promises but still don’t know what you believe. You can have hope the Bible is true. Things have changed so much that those who have been out a long time don’t know what the org is actually like these days.

Yes either Jehovah gave out false light or the GB of past times were the evil slave class? Or the entire thing is just humans making things up and keep changing things and lying saying it’s Jehovah

Thoughts on annual meeting “new light”

so, i finally saw the annual meeting video part 2.. this is the one with the “new light” on who might survive armageddon, vs. those who do not.. in summary, for those of you fortunate enough not to have to sit through it, it’s something like this:.

old light: once the “great tribulation” starts, that’s it for non-jws.

the “door of the ark” is closed.

Rat, it is new light according to the GB. The official doctrine changed at the 2023 AGM. Before that it was only baptised JWs and their young children who would make it when Armageddon comes. If you died before hand then you would be resurrected.

Now this has been a huge change. Anyone can make we just don’t know. And we don’t have to hope our loved ones die beforehand because they could make it now unless they are really bad.

I suppose they are saying it’s a bit like the Bible says there will be a resurrection of the unrighteous. Maybe they think unrighteous can also survive Armageddon now since they said it would be stupid to hope your loved ones die beforehand.

So is the new light that unrighteous ones will survive? Since we thought before that as long they die before they would make it, and they seem to be saying it’s stupid to hope someone dies before?

JW prepper fiction

there have been a few fictional books written about jw interpretations of the future.

one brother called ek johnson has written a few jw prepper fictional books based on jw timeline of events great tribulation and all.. i love prepper fiction particularly post apocalyptic prepper fiction but not zombie fiction i’m fed up of those.

i view jw fiction the same as the rest, just like any good fiction.

I love prepper fiction particularly post apocalyptic prepper fiction but not zombie fiction I’m fed up of those. I view JW fiction the same as the rest, just like any good fiction. EK Johnson is actually a very good writer and based on JW fiction it’s adds a level of interest for XJWs. His one series I liked called flee starts just before the great grub and then all congregations get direction to flee. It’s very good fiction actually

a year ago i edited a map of the world to include some big arrows to tell the story of what is to come.

and i shared that map with various friends.

King of the south is UK&USA along with their allies Israel and most of the Christian world.

King of the North is Russia&China along with most of the Muslim and Buddhist world.

Its all coming to a head.

Hotels for convention

a department in bethel wants to try to make money from regional conventions by asking local hotels if they will give a special rate and a coupon code to give to jws.. .

they should just keep it simple and not be greedy for dishonest gain.. .

this year some convention sites the hotels said no thank you i think the jws are going to book with us anyway.

Is the org that desperate for money that they try to make a profit from hotels?

I remember we used to have food made by volunteers at the convention and then they simplified it and said bring your own pack lunch. This was much more simple.

Why do the brothers at Bethel spend so much time talking to hotel managers and trying to get some of the profits from JWs staying with them. Just like the pack lunches wouldn’t it be better to just say please plan out your own accommodation.

These brothers spending all that time ringing hotels would be better spending that time doing something else
