Christmas dinner.....need help.

I make a good ham in the crockpot.
1 ham
24oz of Sierra Mist poured over it
Let it cook for 4 hours on low
Then Put 1cup Honey, 1 Cup Dijon Mustard, Pinnapple Rings and some cloves let cook on low for 2 more hours
You then have one tasty ham.
No Cherrie Pie Yuckie!!!!

New Family Member - Pic!!

Some will go back
by JH ini would like to know how many people here are thinking of going back to the hall if the elders go and visit them.
we had stories of people telling the elders that they had enough and wanted to get out.
on the other hand, i am sure a few will go back, but we will not hear their stories as much because they fear the reaction of this board.

Stinky Pants I know how you feel. My sister is 15 and I would give anything to spend more time with her. I couldn't go back though and live a lie. I am just thankful my parents allow her to go to the gym with me and go with me to dinner on occasion. I miss her more than anything. All you can hope for StinkyPants is when they are 18 they too will see the light and come around. I am so sorry you have to go through this.

i wrote my letter after many arguements with my highly fanatic jw wife of which i think divorce will probally follow as has been witnessing to me ever since my doubts 2 years ago.
ok so its hard, no firends, well at least i do have a few here.

It's 2 AM...and Im soooo sad

i just put my jw husband on a plane to san fran so he can spend the entire holiday week out there, get this, dog sitting his nonjw brothers shitzus while he goes to visit family for christmas.
i told him i was going to miss him...and he replied, well "i wont miss christmas".

Atkins - good or bad?
by zenpunk ini keep hearing good and bad about the atkins diet.
i started it a month ago not really to lose weight, but, i had heard that atkins eliminates sluggishness during the day and insomnia at night.
what was startling was the amount of energy i gained.

I don't know about studies done but I am surprised you have more energy. Without carbs you generally have less that is why my friend had to go off of it. When you diet you should eat vegtables and exercise. The Atkins diet is not the healthiest diet out there. My personal trainer (and I saw this happen to my uncle and his wife) says that your body needs carbs for energy and after you are on the diet awhile your body starts turning the protein into energy. When you go off the diet and start eating carbs again it is using the carbs and the protein for energy and then you have too much and it turns everything into sugars which causes you to gain weight twice as fast. My uncle and his wife lost 15lbs and went off the diet and gained back 30 in a matter of weeks. Balance is the key to anything. As long as you are burning more calories than you are intaking in a given day then you will lose weight.
