  Found an Old Letter

  i was going through an old file folder a few days ago and came across this letter i wrote to our old congregation regarding renovations that had been proposed.

  at the time, i was very upset with the way the proposals were steam-rollered through (i think the sentiment comes across nicely in my letter lol).

  has anything like this ever happened elsewhere??

  DID ANYONE EVER ENJOY GOING IN SERVICE?

  i was raised with a bookbag in my hand.

  every saturday and sunday our family was out in service.i vacation, temporary and auxillary and regular pioneered.

  i never enjoyed it but did it because i was supposed to do it.

  I hated it. I auxilury pionnered three times and I would get all my service time done and over with in the first week and half so I didn't have to go out anymore. I don't think there was any other month I even met the national avg. I think I avg. about 4 hours a month. I would not go out more than 1 maybe 2 saturdays a month.

  what do you all do with your free time now guys..like hobbies and what not..like you pioneers there is 75 hrs you have to play around with if you know what i mean not to mention meetings and bible studying etc.

  I work 45-60 hours a week at 1 1/2 jobs, I go to school fulltime I hope to graduate in 16 months but then will go for my masters. I go to the gym 3-4 times a week. I have a husband and 4 cats.

  Anyone ever rub elbows with a Celebrity?

  when i was in the sixth grade in roswell n.m. i met this girl whos father had recently died.my father had also passed away recently.we were both very shy and haveing the lose of our fathers in common we stuck together that year.we never did anything outside of school however, not sure why,she never invited me over and now i think it was because of her horrible home life.but we ate lunch together everyday and chated in a class we shared.i never saw her again until..... when i was in my 20's my cousins wife told me that my friend demetria guynes was....... drum roll..plz.

  Are You Influenced By Looks?

  on friday night i watched a report by abc tv's john stossel (in the normal 20/20 time slot) that dealt with how humans are influenced by looks.

  it was a re-broadcast, and even though this was the second time i've seen it it was still fascinating.

  to demonstrate whether we are influenced by appearance, several scenarios were set up, involving people considered attractive and those considered more 'plain'.

  I would say I have to be attracted to the person in a dating situation but I valued personality above all else. Did you know though it is a proven fact with women that they will pick friends they feel are less attractive than them because they want to be the one noticed when they go out. Take my sister for instance she is a 5'11" blonde hair blue eyed beauty her friends are either overweight or very very plain and unattractive. She is the one that always gets the looks when they go out. But she will tell you they are her friends due to personality what do you think?
