Its up to you if you let him spend the night but remember the pill is not an immediate fix and she will have to use condoms (which she should anyways) for at least two months before they fully kick in to prevent pregnancy. Also everytime you change birth control pills you are suppose to use condoms for two months. I know so many people who forget these simple rules and oops they get pregnant.

Wonderful Words..But Name The Movie:
by Englishman inah, if only these words could be heard in a kingdom hall.
see if you can recognise from what movie a priest spoke these words:.
we can't measure our goodness by what we don't do, by what we deny ourselves, by what we resist and who we exclude.".

growing up scared of Armageddon
by bittersweet ini was just curious if any of you growing up in the truth were overly scared of armageddon?.
when my mom came into the org.
in the 70's,the only so called kids book was the paradise lost book.the pictures in that book scared the pants off me!at night when i was lying in bed,if i would hear a loud plane go over head,or there was a thunder storm,i was sure it was the start of armageddon and i would be sooooo scared.i was wondering if i was the only one overly scared,or if their were others.. also, was anyone out there extremely frightened of the demons?i would hear all these crazy experiences of people having problems with demons, and i was sooo frightened they would come bother me.maybe i was just a big old scaredycat, but if any one else has any experiences, please post them!

I was terified of armagedon. I didn't want everyone in the world to die even as a child. I always hoped it would never come so I wouldn't have to see everyone die.

How Have U Changed since Leaving?
by patio34 ini've been thinking about changes in my world view lately and wonder if others have had a similarly subtle, yet profound, outlook on life.
not being a jw nor even a believer anymore has made a subtle change that ive observed.
to begin with, i read somewhere that people tend to bring their own standards to their religion.

Ministry School or Lets play pretend
by Beans inlooking back at the kingdom ministry school it really seemed like a childish game of lets play pretent.
somebody gives you an outline and sisters and brothers would act it out, like any of this stuff really ever happened.
you never saw anybody act out the door slam or any vulgar comments, now that would have made it interesting eh!

Please, I am so upset...I need some hugs...
by Sentinel ini am having a very difficult time and i am here right now because i know in my heart, that when i explain what has just happened to me a few minutes ago, you will understand.
many of you are no doubt going through the same thing.. within several posts here, i have spoken of my mother.
my dear sweet mother, who just turned 78, and who has been a faithful jw since 1959. she abandoned me in 1981, when i decided to leave the borg, and for twelve years she did not speak to me, write to me, call me, or visit me.

I totally agree. In my hall it got so bad that the sisters were pretending to be on a bible study and they would just read the paragraphs and ask the questions. I would try to come up with creative settings but I was always counseled on the fact it is suppose to be a bible study. That was just sooo boring. I did settings like meeting someone at the bus stop, the mall, etc. I would come up with outlandish and unrealistic ones. It was great. I wrote the best talks I used to write talks for my mom, grandma, & aunt. My mom a couple months ago asked me if I'd write a talk for her. I haven't been to a meeting in 3 years and she wants me to write a talk for her. I don't think she would like what I would have to say now she may never speak to me again.

Are There More Than One?
by Sentinel ini've been reading posts for a while now, and sometimes it seems that some posters really know each other quite well.
i was thinking perhaps that they knew each other prior to coming on the forum.. how many here went to the same congregation and were friends or family?.
or how many here did not attend the same congregation at the same time, only to connect again on this forum?.
