how many days?
by itsallgoodnow inok, so we've probably all heard before that someone out there has done a study calculating about how much time we will have spent in our lives sitting at red lights and it comes to about a year?
try calculating about how many days you have spent at circuit/district conventions in your life, assuming there were 3 for circuit every year, and 3 or 4 for district every year.
i can't remember the year it switched to from 4 down to 3. this number is bigger than you might think, especially if you were raised as a jw.

Do Your Witness Relatives Want You To Be Happy?
by Englishman inor do they want the world to fall in around your ears so that you might "turn back to jehovah"?.
do they think that if you had less happiness in life you would be driven back?.
my mum once exclaimed very bitterly that i had "landed on my feet" too many times and that i would probably have been back at the kh if things hadn't gone so well in my life.. englishman.

My mother told me just yesterday me being happy is a lie. I will reap everything I have sown even if it is just on my death bed and I realize that all hope is gone. She says there is no way I can truly be happy. She hates it that I am happy without the wittnesses.

Anybody ever try the Atkins Diet?
by El Kabong inok, this has probably been discussed before, but, how many here have tried the atkins diet?
did you have a good/bad experience with this diet.
the reason i ask is because i went to my doctor and my bp is way up.

Mulan I agree with you Weight Watchers is great. I lost 50 lbs on that diet and have found it so easy to stay on. I have reached my goal and am very happy. Excersise is very important too in any diet you choose. Remember water too. I drink 10-12 glasses a day and it just makes you feel better.

Just watched Matric Reloaded... review inside
by pr_capone init sucked.
maybee 3 fight scenes worth mentioning and even they went too long.
the first 45 minutes of the movie were slow as hell and it included a 15 minute scene of a party where eveyone is grinding on eachother.. .

5 American idols left-who's getting the boot?
by morrisamb inplease, please give country boy the boot, america!!!.
kimberly locke and reuben each gave a singular moving, unbelievable performance last night (of their two songs).
trenyce and clay were a close second.. what do you all think?

Scarlet
I would love to see Kimberly go she is just awful. I am just not hearin' it Dawg. She is like nails on a Chalkboard. Josh is the one that will be going home though. I am going to be happy for any of the Top 3 that win Clay, Trenyce or Ruben. I don't think Kimberly will be Top 3 and if she is that is a sad day for American Idol.

Women raised as JWs: Did the WTS views on women negatively impact you?
by berylblue ini'd really like to know.. my experience was that women who were raised in the "truth" and married to a good jw brother did not know how to make decisions.
from reading this board, this would, however, appear to be the least of their problems.. what specifically, if any, were the problems associated with always being told you were a second class person and not capable of making decisions?.

All of the women in my family are very submissive and that never sat well with me. I was always very vocal on my feelings and said I believe men translated that part of the bible wrong. I even mad sure obey was taken out of my vows I told the brother giving our talk that I would not say that. He asked my husband if that was ok and he said that was fine she is not for me to control.
