My aunt who dropped out of school in the 7th grade to pioneer and can barely hold an adult conversation plans on homeschooling her childern after they are done with elementry school which i should say that those kids are barely passing that they have to go to summer school every year for poor grades. I can't imagine her homeschooling these children I feel so bad for them. She can't help them with their homework now and they are in Kindergarten and Third grade how the hell is she going to home school them. My sister went to a school that you only go to 4 hours a week in for her last 3 years of highschool and she finished in two. But this was done thru the state and she had to test on everything and is a very self motivated person. Her goal was to finish high school early so she could move on to college. If your child is like my sister I can see allowing them to do something like that but a woman with a 7th grade education and her husband has a 9th grade education should not be teaching their children.

how can any parent that truely loves their kid not take a good long look at themselves and say "i am not the best teacher for this child.

What are you doing for Christmas?

one of my co-workers asked me that and i realized that i haven't made any plans for anything.

For Christmas Eve we go to my cousins house and have dinner with all of her husbands family. Then on Christmas morning we go to my husbands grandma's house for breakfast and open gifts there it is alot of fun. Then we have Christmas dinner at my husbands aunts house. It is a day of massive calories and good food.

Naming your children Biblical names

anyone else remember new babies coming into the world and being given "biblical" names?
i thought it was hilarious when there was baby noah.

My parents didn't name us after biblical names they named us after things that were popular at the time, I am Carly because my mom loved Carly Simon, My brother is Steven because in 1984 the San Diego Padres did really well with Steve Garvey on the team, and my sister is Jenna because my mom was watching Dallas at the time and Priscilla Presley's charcter was named Jenna. I will not be naming my child a biblical name either.

I would say other. People would miss the meeting with the new blood card and not renew theirs making it invalid and then not enough were asking for the other medical directive and they felt that everyone should have that too. I know my mom waited til going in for surgery to get the big piece of paper one.

Is your family close??...
by Hecklerboy ini was talking to a good friend of mine the other night on the phone and i was telling him about my wife wondering why my family isn't very close.
when we started thinking about it we both decided it was because we grew up jw's.
i would love to be closer to my family, but it just seems we have nothing to talk about.

My family is close, My mom, dad, brother, and sister. We see them all the time. I see my mom's side of the family at family get togethers for people's anniversarys. I have a few cousins that I am very close too and consider them too be good friends. My dad's family on the other hand isn't close at all. My dad's mother has never invited me over to her house since I have been married. We don't talk or like eachother we never have. I think my Dad's sister would be closer to us but she takes care of things for her mom and I think that would drain just about anyone.
My husbands family isn't that close. We try with them but mainly we just see at the holidays.

Some People in the hall and Curcuit Overseers had the license tag I'd rather be pioneering. Its not a made up word but I always thought what would your average person think of that what they'd rather be pioneers of the 19th century and live in tents what weirdos.

I am like blondie. I didn't smoke cause of health, can't grow a beard, love my husband too much to cheat on him. I just wanted freedom out the org. We started celebrating the holidays with our families but that was after we had been out for 3 years.
