  i wonder what the percentage is of ex-jws who become involved in other organized religions.

  i had a discussion with a psychiatrist friend recently.

  he told me that i am a "psychiatric anamoly," that most "devout" people who leave a religion will join another and become as devout in their new religion.

  I can say what% apply here. I have no research just a gut instinct ..and it is this.....

  its hard for many to leave the JWS> for one major reason..they are conditioned to see all else has no answers.......

  its one thing to find what you believed in to be wrong..its another thing to jump on the band wagon of another salvatiuon crusade....... from what I have noticed many are reluctant to get involved with ~any~ organized religion ,, because they been mislead in a royal way ...with out any vaseline!

  after such an experience........if anything was learned ......it would be highly unlikely to find all the answers under one roof.......

  a few weeks later i posted a comment on the thread http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/forum/thread.asp?id=3941&site=3.

  it was titled 'can you stop the preaching work?'.

  Out n Free,

  the HH record is something that officials and neighbors may show extreme interest in.... since its so FREELY shared in the cong. ANd since the Pedophile issue is @ large.....

  safety of children could blow a mean trumpet.....

  Neighbors KNOWING that records are kept of WHEN soemone is home or not home is not a very comofrting thought for most....

  if any of you are/were jws, then you know of the "donation arrangement", the semantical approach of the wts to soliciting donations/funds.

  i remember when this was initiated.

  much talk was made about it.

  but I 'll bet if you browse the announcements you'll see that all so called ~free~ literature must be ordered through the congregation, all renewal subs must be handled the same way.

  THE PO is to make an announcement the FIRST service meeting each month to remind the R&F, the stock contributors.......SEE march 2000 KM under announcements...

  having said that ...because I read it a few months back........does that not PUBLICLY put the pressure on the PO to do so since if he doesnt everyone wil know he failed his job.......

  if it was just a gentle encouragement , it would have been a letter to the cong that NO ONE EVER HEARD ABOUT......

  what a coprporation!.......

  well friends, it's been nice, but just like the society this board was created for, it has deterioted, far worse than h20 or any of the other boards out there, a certain element here continue to bring down this forum to the lowest of lows, and i no longer have the patience to sift through the garbage and hate incited threads to find something worth while contributing too.

  so, with those words, i bid you all farewell, and pray one day you find yourselves!.
