A farce elder here
by His Excellency injust to share a little about me:.
i was recently appointed an elder, about 6 months ago now, and that is exactly two years after my awakenning, but funny that the appointment came also about 2 years after i had completely lost all faith in god and had been leading a full time anti-jw life .
makes you wonder the role of the holy spirit in the entire nomination or appointment process.. .

he is an elder(40), his wife and their 2 daughters (21 &19), all 4 are also regular pioneers.

He's a lot of stuff to fix up here on a global scale. People starving, disease, natural disasters, global warming - you know, big picture stuff.
Clearly god is a hopeless manager of his time. While he is running around getting some of you lists of names and granting other mundane wishes, little kids are dying agonising deaths all over the place.

S&R: I too have long been interested in these. When I first left the JWs I was like a sponge soaking up every experience I could.
DMT had me fascinated.
A pretty common weed, Philaris arundinacea - reed canary grass, is an excellent and common (and legal) source. There is plenty of info available on the net.

i, personally, think it has been fantastic.
i hear many complain its not informative enough or its sugar coated or whatever but i think its brilliant for the mere fact that its dumbed down for us lamen folk...my wife still doesnt get some of it and i agree...but that, for me, shows how comex real life is....its not easy as many religionists believe.....

Cosmos is brilliant and moving and awe inspiring.
The fact that we tiny, insignificant humans, living on a tiny blue planet on the outer edge of a ho-hum galaxy, can somehow make sense of, and in some way comprehend, the majesty of the universe, is profoundly compelling.
Spiritual even.

Is the WBTS a parasite on worldly society?
by Frazzled UBM inso i ran into a couple of elderly lady witnesses on the street and asked them the usual questions about how much they knew about the history of the organisation.
anyway after being dismissed with the usual contempt i asked them whether they were working and the answer was "no we are on the pension and live in council housing".
so it got me to thinking that across the developed world there must be very large numbers of witnesses or ex-witnesses in exactly the same situation - basically living off the evil worldly state or more precisely the taxes of evil worldly people.

Does Christianity Need The Bible
by Mat inchristianity began it's formation without the bible.
the bible, as we know it, is a collection of what were very old texts when they were assembled by christian leaders in the late second and third centuries because they were deemed to be inspired by god.. whether they really were inspired by god or not is now open to debate, but should they prove to not be, it should not undermine christianity as an establishment.. discuss......
