  bboyneko: yes, the filenames and the labels can be misleading. The point is, anybody with a healthy attitude toward sex will develop their own self-censorship as to what's appropriate and what's disgusting/illegal.

  One doesn't have to resort to Watchtower-esque censorship and control tactics when discussing sexual aspects with their kids. If the kids are old enough to understand these things, they have to be encouraged to self-discipline, rather than learning how to circumvent parental rules.

  What's repressed unnaturally now will spring back ten-fold later in terms of negative consequences.

  as more and more ex-witnesses speak out online, as we have here, it's obvious that the society has to see it as a threat.. since they probably won't come out and ban internet access for their members, how are they going to deal with us?

  many of us make no secret of our names and locations, and for the rest it would not be hard for someone with the org's resources to find that information.

  as things like the child abuse issue, the u.n. membership, and the blood issue become more publicized their damage-control efforts will have to increase.

  One day your gonna get caught

  just thought it would be fun to see all the ways people have been caught in the middle of something, i recently was so embarrassed as i travelled to canada to visit my boyfriend, after we went to the movies we got rather heated in the car shall we say, mind you the car was packed away from all other cars, needless to say as soon as we got our pants down and started to get into motion ;-) a light shone through the window of the car, and guess what, a nice security guard was standing there, i was so embarrassed, he told us we shouldnt be doing that here, what made it even more embarrassing was the fact that we were both over 30 years old and i never ever got caught in the act when i was a teenager, oh wait thats coz i was a dub and didnt have a life.. so come on guys and girls give us all a laugh and tell us your story.

  a sister has been interviewed for nearly 45 min today and it will be on the 5 o'clock news on koin 6 tv.

  dont overstate matters.

  the situation in oregon is a terrible tragedy.

  the watchtowers policy on shunning likely contributed to the tragedy, it may have even been a primary factor but there are any number of other factors that could have contributed as well - too many to even mention!.

  Where do you enjoy most - Making Love???

  where do you enjoy most - making love with one another, making that deep down, soul to soul shared connection?.

  for me, if it were possible, it s/he would be out within nature, upon the woodland floor, with a few sleeping bags and cushions, amonst the leaf strewn woodland floor, at night with the moon overhead, owls calling, wow!!

  the connection there i imagine would be pretty awesome, still never done it.. or on top of the cliffs, with the waves pounding below, sending ripples of vibration through the hillside above.. in stormy weather, on the beach, each place adding / sharing another shared perspective in our one soul love creating.. hmmmmmmmmmmmmm if only.. peace, lots of it, kindness, joy and great friendships, music, wine and general jollity and boogeying it down.. love.

  A Happy Story

  i haven't posted in a while but i do read some of the posts here.. well, something happened not too long ago that i thought i'd share since it's a happy story.

  well it has a happy ending anyways and it does have a jw element.. ok, first some background.

  i was raised in the org by my mom and stepdad.

  Great story Mike. Just goes to show that, years later, you still struggled with being a loner and keeping ties with your family. I still struggle with the same thing. The conditioning against "bad association" is ferocious and all-consuming. Yet, we now know intellectually that people are people and there are actually quite few who are really truly "bad" associations, at least not for very long in many cases. Much less one's own flesh and blood.

  Let that be a testament to the damage shunning can cause.

  Macon...what a place for a cruise today...I'm sure you've got some quality weather down there by now ;)

  i was just thinking that if charles taze russell were alive today he wouldn't even recognize the religion he started.

  in fact, many of the things he did are now disfellowshippable offenses.

  for instance, he had a christmas tree in the bethel home and he wore a beard.

  it educates and benefits the great crowd of overcomers, whose steadfast reliance on jehovah and the spiritual food from his organization truly is a cause for rejoicing.. 2. too, suchlike ones manifest their support for god's arrangement by regularly assembling at christian meetings and submissively acknowledging the headship of spirit-appointed elders.

  It's interesting you mention "Jehovah's Celestial Chariot"...the JWs of all don't realize that God is God! Yes, just like a woman, he has the right to change his mind!

  If for one split second in history the JW's were the chosen people, the celestial chariot has circled wagons a million times since then.

  Furthermore, it is disrespectful to call The Supreme Sovereign by his first name, anyway. So "God" is plenty good enuf. It's Mr. Haugland, not Jan.

  If God sees fit, "Armageddon" becomes a non-event (and the WTS Scadenfreude nullified), IF it's in a higher best-interest. But NO, the WTS INSISTS that their version of events is fait-accompli! Just the fact alone that Jesus came is proof positive of God's ability to change plans on a dime of a chariot wheel. So are many other Bible and/or historical examples.

  Think about it. ANYTHING's possible.
